I’ve had tons but the only one that comes to mind right now is about an apocalyptic situation in which cutesy mascots that look like they belong to children’s media from the 50s start flying and turning everything in the world to pink bubbles. Me and a few survivors are hiding together and I feel a sense of both comfort and dread as I hear playful music approaching.

I’m poor as hell, my house is cold and filled with holes in the ceiling. I have no shower and whenever I have to clean myself I have to boil water and mix it with cold water in a bucket. This is very uncomfortable and basically just sucks, especially in autumn/winter.

A certain imageboard built around left-wing politics suddenly has an userbase of almost exclusively leftcoms and all they do is make sure no conversation can be had on any topic. All liberals are white saviour types that never abandoned colonialist white man’s burden rhetoric. Just think about it: When they think of the west destroying the middle east for example they put it in terms of “destroying the backwards religious fanatics” (or “the savage barbarians” if you’d like) in order to “save the oppressed people that dont know better” (the noble savage lol) to teach them “our progressive, democratic ways” (sounds very similar to “to civilize them” like they’d say a few centuries ago, doesn’t it?).

The real problem is that lots of “gentle” parents are actually doing permissive parenting, which is one of the various parenting styles known to not work at all and often leave lasting issues. The only one known for good outcomes is one called “authoritative parenting” that by the way is not at all the same as authoritarian parenting, which is another one known to not work.

Back when I meditated like half an hour daily and purposefully did lots of stuff to make my dreams more vivid I had TONS of these and I have many of them saved in a dream diary.

A dream I think about a lot was a continuation dream of sorts. I’m in school and I remember all the lore from this school that doesnt really exist, except at one point the dream becomes a lucid dream. When this happens all the dream people notice I know I’m in a dream and they go “fuck it, lets drop the act and just chill” and they start talking to me about other dreams they’ve been in and “characters” they’ve “played” in them and how they like performing in the school setting and stuff like that. Waking up from that shit felt SO crazy to me.

Salvador Allende tried the peaceful democratic way and all he got was sabotage and a coup that got him killed. Violence isnt an option anyone wants to take or likes, but the only option available.

I have to ask then, is there value in writing Communist speculative fiction?

I remember that as a kid I watched Spirited Away and the whole subplot with the no-face becoming destructive when engaged in a transactional relationship with the workers in the bathhouse made me think that people act in accordance to their context and that relationships built on vulgar give-and-take are not fulfilling. In other words, from that movie I developed my first childlike sketches of materialism and alienation. I think there is value in writing communist fiction.
