I'll look into the export thing but I think i will move to your instance regardless.
Im mostly a lurker and dont know how to code so the only way I think I can cooperate is by helping cover the costs of the server even if its just a symbolic ammount (im mostly poor too) Anyways, if theres something else I can do in the future I will. Thanks again.
Nice! Perhaps having a flair for long time users who frecuently post to the instance and have shown their compromise to its ideals and ethos. It wouldnt be abuse-proof but I think it would be fair since not everyone can donate and they (ppl making and sharing "content") are what make a social network worth using.
I have 2 questions. Is it possible to migrate an account from fedia.io (mbin, i think) to db0 (lemmy)? and; How can someone without a bank account nor credit/debit cards donate to the instance?
Doesnt sort in alphabetical order correctly (aka ignoring words like "the" at the begining of of artists names) even tho all my music has sorting tags and it doesnt show every album art, for some reason, even tho all my music has album art embeded :c
The ui is pretty, like most forks of metroplayer, but I will stay with Gonemad (although not foss :c)
So don't take this as rude
I know this is literally not what you asked, but...
No no no, this is the exact reason I asked. I honestly thought selfhosting would be better and easier once its all set up. Thank you very much.
As far as I know the website is not an indispensable part of the business but its not a static page either. Its gonna be like a landing page to (hype up the business), some catalogue pages to show their products, and a page with contact info (maybe also an "about us" page. Its mainly to look more professional and to have a bit of an internet presence. What would you recommend for that? Either selfhosted or commercial solution.
