If you want to make some argument that Carney is playing favorites with Israel - which, again, fuck Nathanyahu and the politics of the state of Israel - you’re going to have to demonstrate that Carney has been tough on Russia while being kind to Israel.

I've provided you links with official statements from Carney and his cabinet clearly stating that the policy has not changed. You're claiming there is some change, it is on you to back that idea up. What you did here was to literally make up a point out of thin air that Craney has not been tough on Russia as Trudeau has. What is your evidence?

Please, provide links to show what policies Carney changed. I asked you earlier, did he remove sanctions on Russia, did he change trade policies, or restore relations. What change has there been. You are the one making the claim that there is no continuation of policy. It is on you to substantiate that.

I have presented exactly the same argument as the other thread you're referring to, but since you lack even a shred of intellectual integrity you continue to pretend that this is somehow different.

I explained, very clearly and repeatedly why Carney is applying double standard in his stance on Russia and Israel. Also, if you're going to use terms like ad hominem, at least learn what they mean. Ad hominem would be me saying you're wrong because you're an imbecile. I've explained why you're wrong on its own terms, and I also happen to think you are an imbecile.

You continue to accuse me of lying, but here we see the height of intellectual dishonesty with you pretending that Carney has a different stance on Russia than Trudeau. Since you're the one making this fantastical claim, the burden of proof is on you. Please demonstrate any evidence at all that Carney has a different stance on Russia. Which of Trudeau's policies has Carney changed on Russia. Has he lifted any sanctions, has he changed any rhetoric, please provide evidence to support your claims. Or is your argument genuinely this purely vibes based take of “well it came to me in a dream”?

Meanwhile, I can easily point to what Carney and his cabinet have said in public regarding Russia, no such rhetoric exists regarding Israel

Literally nobody here is making the argument that Carneys government isn’t responsible for what Trudeau’s government did in 2022. Last I checked, Carney's stance on Russia is the exact same as that of Trudeau's government in 2022.

I'm not really sure what critical areas China needs to catch up in at this point. The chips they produce are already good enough for any practical applications. It's also worth keeping in mind that improving software is much easier than hardware. Western software stacks are incredibly bloated. For example, Huawei starting fresh with their HarmonyOS can make a much leander stack by cutting all the cruft and backwards compatibility out.

I also don't see China being decades behind in chips. They can already make 7nm, they're prototyping EUV machines, it's not going to be long at this point. On top of that, China is investing into research of alternative substrates like graphene, spintronics, etc. Any one of these could make silicon look like vacuum tubes overnight if they can scale them up to mass production. There's no new fundamental physics that need to be discovered here, we know these these things work in a lab. It's just a matter of scaling up production. And that's precisely where state driven development comes in.

The Epstein files are the biggest scandal the western system has faced to date in my opinion. This is bigger than stuff like Watergate because it spans multiple administrations in the US, as well as other western regimes. It's a total indictment of the idea that there's any sort of a democracy in the west. It's now plain for everyone to see that the west is ruled by diabolical monsters who are accountable to no one. And this comes at a time of a rapid decline in the living standards which makes people angry and politically engaged. Things that might've been ignored before cannot be ignored any longer.

Finally, it seems to me that the west is headed for a massive financial crash. While people keep playing games with the numbers, it's pretty clear that all the tangible metrics like job numbers and cost of living are doing very poorly. The only question in my mind is what the catalyst will be. It could be the coming war with Iran which might drive oil prices through the roof.
