    Why has Trump stopped talking about Greenland in the last few weeks?

  • What could the EU possibly threaten the US with at this point? The EU is entirely dependent on the US militarily, and now for energy as well. All Trump has to do is to stop LNG shipments and the EU will be in a massive crisis. He's got Europeans bent over a barrel here, and everybody knows it. There has been no single instance of the EU standing up to Trump to date.

  • Russia and China have been sending military aid to Iran. China has also cut the US off from rare earths supplies which is affecting American military production. Clearly that hasn't been a sufficient deterrent though.

    And there's really nothing that can be done in terms of international law because the US simply ignores it.

    Obviously neither Russia nor China want to have a direct military confrontation with the US either. That would be WW3, and likely lead to a nuclear holocaust.

    So, it seems like a war on Iran is unavoidable at this point.

  • It's news because of the context of the negotiations that are currently happening. There is no delusional gotcha here. Russia is defeating NATO in Ukraine. As a result, the US, the main sponsor of NATO, wants to cut its losses. That's why negotiations are happening in the first place. Russia reiterating the root causes for the conflict shows they're not going to make concessions. Now the ball is in American court, they either have to keep allocating resources towards the proxy war, or accept Russian terms. Let me know if any of this was unclear for you.
