  • I don’t feel the need to parrot the answer to a deliberately glib and disgusting question just to virtue signal to you that we’re on the same “team.” Label me however you wish, you have a right to your narrow, angry and incorrect opinion. But know this: you’re alienating potential allies and possibly contributing to abuse by diluting its definition.

    We want the same thing, we just disagree as to how it can be, or should be done. Not everyone you disagree with is a pedophile.

All I'm trying to do is agree that no one cares, and add that I think that it's because the label is not working to dissuade people from the Trump regime's policy because it has become overused and obtuse. I'm sorry for my lack of clarity, but it's pretty tiring to open the news every day to "so and so is a pedophile" while American citizens are being executed in the streets.

  • It’s a system of morality utterly based on magical thinking that begins with the dubious requirement of faith in the existence of an omnipotent creator, a laughable and absurd premise that to me at least, invalidates most of its subsequent conclusions.

    I would hazard a guess that that most Christians would say that the sins are commandments from God, who purposely omitted the “sin of haste” for reasons that cannot be comprehended by man and that you should go read your bible. What I would recommend instead is to continue the ethical line of thinking about the harms of haste, look for real world examples, and seek out what other ethical thinkers have to say on the issue instead of trying to fit that exploration within the context of an arbitrary belief system that encourages you not to think at all.

    I find Christian “ethics” to make much more sense when understood as an autocratic system of power rather than one that is trying to grapple with what it means to be “good”.

He suffers from a deep and defining personal inadequacy instilled by his fucked up father and twisted childhood that can only be temporarily quenched by massive and constant external validation.     Imagine how unbelievably and bizarrely empty and lacking in self-awareness you’d have to be to muse loudly that you deserve the Nobel prize after someone else was awarded it, expect it to magically happen, and then be genuinely confused when it doesn’t.

    Trump is genuinely, obviously insane with malignant narcissism. The fact that such a dangerously inept person was able to become president is profoundly disturbing on multiple levels, and demonstrates the end result of unrestricted American-style capitalism.

    Invading and occupying sovereign first world nations is entirely different from decapitating lesser authoritarian regimes. If Trump is successful in forcing the military to invade Greenland, we are in deep shit. A war between NATO and the US would quickly lead to nuclear escalation, and appeasement would only lead to the further collapse of NATO and the empowerment of worldwide totalitarian expansionism.

    The American government is being run by insane megalomaniacal fascists. All the pieces are in position for WWIII. Trump must be stopped IMMEDIATELY or it’s time to start digging bomb shelters in our backyards.

  • Greenland is an autonomous territory of Denmark, one of the founding members of NATO along with the US.

    Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty states that an armed attack against one NATO member shall be considered an attack against all members, and triggers an obligation for each member to come to its assistance.

    Attacking, invading, operating in, or otherwise taking military action against Greenland will at best destabilize and delegitimize NATO, and at worst prompt a full military response from NATO member states against the United States Military, the largest and most powerful armed force in history several times over, with a budget an order of magnitude larger than the rest of the world combined.

    I cannot overstate how horrifically, hilariously bad this would be:

    • It would begin an escalating conflict that would give China the perfect distraction to invade Taiwan, and remove the support that Ukraine desperately requires to continue defending against Russia.
    • To avoid war, Denmark and NATO would be forced to concede and appease Trump as Chamberlain did with Hitler, further emboldening Trump, Putin, and Xi Jinping to continue their totalitarian regimes and campaigns which literally amount to no less than cartoonishly evil total world domination.
    • In full scale conflict, NATO states would be faced with a losing battle in which their only recourse would quickly become the use of nuclear weapons.

    This absolutely cannot happen. Our only window to stop the Trump regime’s utterly Fascist-with-a-capital-F designs by conventional political means is rapidly closing. Once the American military is in Denmark without their consent, my advice is to start looking at options for your own survival of WWIII.

  • If the US invaded, or took significant military action against Greenland, we would be in deep deep shit.

    The forced takeover of Greenland would harm NATO’s ability to preserve trust between its member nations. The North Atlantic Treaty contains Article 5, which requires member states to defend each other, but this provision would become ineffective when the United States faces an attack. The NATO allies would need to decide between taking action against Washington or giving up their commitment to collective defense.

    This would become the point at which I would start seriously considering moving to a site on which I could build a bomb shelter, or at least stockpile long-term quantities of non-perishable food and survival supplies. Starting WWIII for fucking Greenland is beyond any description of surreal insanity I can feasibly elucidate. It would take a poem, or a song.
