Yea whatever, fuck them. I always hated school because of this. I completely understand teachers’ plight and all that stuff. It’s hard to manage 60 kids n stuff (we had 60 kids per class in the country I grew up in), but still… Treating children like thoughtless, desireless, subhuman entities is one of the greatest tragedies occurring that society is highly blind to.

An expectation to follow rules without an acceptable explanation, when the rule follower has not given consent previously to the rule maker to expect this is authoritarian behavior. Fuck authoritarian behavior and fuck authoritarians. I can’t see how this is just a “oooh they’re just autistic” thing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    • Building your own transit lines on a map. I do it on the website called metrodreamin sometimes. Very fun!
    • Writing policy docs/bylaws/rules for literally anything. Can be a country, a city, a coop, some fictional entity, anything! Completely free. When I actually write stuff, it helps me understand my own beliefs and opinions much more clearly. Bad opinions become a lot easier to spot when you write them out. Stretching these “rules” to their logical extremes is so fun too! Helps you understand holes in your opinions/limitations. I remember writing down my ethical framework. So fun!
    • Programming. It’s free. You can play around n do whatever.
    • Reading porn. Written porn vs audio-visual porn is such a massive massive difference. Written porn often has something that audio visual porn doesn’t - emotions. Also, the setup for written stories is so much cooler than audio visual stuff.

  • So you argue:

Government owned corps means that politics gets involved in the management of the corp which leads to inefficiencies. Ideas that sound politically popular (while not necessarily being logical) get executed over ideas that are logical.

But to this I argue, we already exist in a system where the state exists. If a state can regulate a market, it already means that it can regulate corporations by passing whatever laws it wants. Meaning, legally speaking, a state doesn’t even need to own a corporation to execute its will.

Let’s look at a scenario. Lewis comes to power. The rail companies aren’t owned by the government. However, Lewis knows he’ll get more votes if all rail workers get a raise of 20%. Hence, Lewis’s NDP passes a new piece of legislation WITHOUT even owning the rail companies called “Critical infrastructure labor investment plan”. Basically, it mandates rail workers among others a minimum wage 1.2x that of the federal minimum wage.

As long as the state exists, and as long as it is popular, it still can kinda do whatever it wants in this context.

Hence, while your argument isn’t wrong per say, the dangers it points at already exist. The fact that something like this isn’t happening in the market is evidence enough, isn’t it?

  • Yeah, the “losing jobs” explanation is bullshit. BUT, I still am not comfortable with the privatisation. A crown corp can still be operated WHILE profiting off stuff. Want to raise revenue to support new HSR? Raise the expected profit margins for the crown corps.

As for “liberating capital”, well that makes sense if we’re talking about a private corp, whose fundraising capacity is low. But when it comes to a well managed COUNTRY like Canada, you can raise funds very easily and cheaply.

You don’t have to sell off critical infrastructure to do that.

  • It’s definitely not something I’m proud of lol.

That being said, people have subjective preferences. A vagina looks like a wet, big wound to me. Like a really deep cut. With liquid that looks infected. It makes me want to puke. That’s not me consciously saying, “it’s disgusting”. It’s a reaction that comes from a part of my brain that I have no control over.

Me finding vaginas disgusting does not equate to me hating women. Many trans men have vaginas. Do I find them less disgusting cuz they belong to men now? No.

I’m as libertarian as it gets when it comes to nudism and personal liberty. Every person should have as much freedom as they want (both, culturally and legally) when it comes to nudity in my opinion. However, I do have the freedom to look away from something that I don’t like seeing. I’m all for body positivity in the sense that noone must be ashamed or whatever for having any type of body.

That being said, you should definitely be ashamed for making an absolute mockery of the issues women face in society. I’m not a woman myself, so I can’t truly understand these issues the way a woman can. But, I can guarantee that there’s no feminist out there enraged by the fact that a gay dude finds vaginas disgusting.
