    If you're going to go this radical just abolish time zones and use UTC. Then locally decide what time is the start of standard business and what is not.

  • Nah these guys were absolutely skewered and convicted in the court of public opinion before the charges got dropped a full year after the fact.

    That said, there are still many things they did that were gross and reprehensible that evening. However rape was not among them.

    I really don't understand Lemmy. People massively confusing pardons and sentence commutations. Further being outraged at the horrors of the American prison system, yet being pissed when people aren't imprisoned enough.

    They're still convicted felons, and we must assume deservedly so (I acknowledge some crimes are bullshit, eg marijuana charges).

    They don't particularly deserve pardons, they deserve humane sentences for their crimes -- actual rehabilitation, mental health support, etc.
