  • Man, they're even trying to require license plates for ebikes now, so they can track you even then.

  • Her arms, too!

  • I'd recommend repeaterbook.com to find the local repeaters near you and potentially info on when the local radio clubs have their "nets."

You could also look at the arrl band plan to see what frequencies people would even ever talk on:

    https://www.arrl.org/band-plan

You'd likely be interested in the 2 meter, 1.25 meter and 70 cm bands, and the gmrs frequencies.

  • Somehow, I don't think that ice or the doj feels that these defeats are all that embarrassing.

Arresting the protesters and making them go through the system, even if they are found not to be guilty, is a significant punishment in itself.

There should be repercussions for the ice agents and prosecutors when this is happening repeatedly.

  • Don't we all? /s

In seriousness, what you're pointing out is a problem but we're talking about two different things.

My main point is that we don't need a new law.

I believe you're saying that our police are horrible and that enforcing the existing law may end up brutalizing the population.

    I think we agree.

  • Agreed

  • Yes

  • At least you started your comment by making it clear that you don't know.

There are already clearly defined laws and definitions for ebike classes, which are distinct from mopeds and motorcycles.

Its not carte blanche or wild west or any other silly idiom.

The problem isn't ebikes. The problem is unlicensed electric motorcycles.

Ebikes are a good thing. They blow cars out of the water with how much much more environmentally friendly and cost effective they are. Requiring license plates and possibly insurance is a huge disincentive. Also pointed out by another user in this thread is that it enables the tracking of your location by all of these horrible flock cameras.

If kids are ripping along the streets on illegal electric motorcycles, what we need is law enforcement, not new laws targeted at those who already are following the existing law.

  • I'm happy for you but I'm finding on the manufacturers website that they want about $10,000 for the street legal 55mph version

Seems cool. I'm hoping that some day soon we might see something electric for less than a third the price.

  • I hope manufacturers can come out with something with about twice the power of this, with a dual-sport dirt bike configuration, while still being fairly inexpensive.

  • Haha, I kinda liked the way he said it.

  • I also had that thought.

  • Vladyslav? Baby don't hurt me. Don't hurt me, no more.

  • We could have had Bernie.

  • You're doing god's work.

I've noticed that on the internet, many people can write but they can't read. Its almost the opposite of slightly knowing a foreign language, where you can understand other people speaking it but aren't able to speak it yourself.

  • The media are largely owned and controlled by the oligarchs. They no longer exist to serve the common person's best interests. The examples that really cemented this reality in my mind are:

-The way they coordinated against our boy Bernie in 2016. I recall a specific instance on live tv where they listed the leading DNC candidates. It displayed an infographic said something like: #1, Hillary Clinton, #3 someone else, #4 someone else. And the announcer made some brief comment at the end, along the lines of, "oh and also some guy Bernie Sanders, some communist or something is in 2nd place. Anyway, here's Eric with the weather!"

-The way they coordinated to tell everyone that anybody who bought GameStop stock a few years ago was stupid and should absolutely sell. The wealthy had bought an illegal amount of short sale positions in GameStop and were losing tons of money to common people who had realized this.

You might think that these two situations are unrelated. Maybe the DNC has its own interests and manipulated the media by its own mechanisms. Maybe the hedge funds and their wealthy investors had enough power and leverage to get help from their media friends. I assert that the rich and powerful people pulling the strings in these two scenarios are the same group of people and they have powerful influence over media, using it to shape popular perception to their benefit.

  • Are those comments for real? I'm hoping they're coming from a bot farm but I can't even tell anymore.
