  • The billionaire that sucks profits from half of the internet infrastructure through Microsoft Azure rapes children. I get the point. Fuck Elon. But we've reached the point of nearly all internet infrastructure being owned by billionaire pedophiles. I'd direct the hatred at them and not the people using the infrastructure. We're not defeating this level of garbage by using blue sky links.

  • Showed far too much restraint. Dude shouldn't have been allowed back in his car. Seriously, would be justified in preventing him from doing so. Could have literally drove it at them. Good kids nonetheless.

  • That's giving Biden far far too much credit. But I get your point.

  • Grab a sign for now and get organized. This shits not getting abolished on its own.

Learn or use an existing skill. Like tech hardware? Learn to pilot and make drones. Like firearms? Share your skill with others and encourage them to learn enough for self defense. Have a 3D printer sitting at home? Make some cheap whistles. Among countless other things. The "nothing ever happens" is over. Don't sit on your ass hoping this shit changes in November. It's likely going to get worse after that.

  • I learned my gaming friends thought I was a conservative because I shit on liberals all the time. My response was basically this:

  • If the Democratic party was actually as far left as the Republicans pretend they are. Holy shit I'd be happy.

  • And now I want to write a website for donating to Trump or right wing causes that actually sends all funds to pro Palestinian causes.

  • Are you the Israel defender or the liberal that doesn't understand Imperialism coming home? Or both?

  • Thanks. I don't think we will win in my lifetime though. And that's something I have to accept. Planting trees you won't enjoy the shade of and all that.

  • Agree completely. I am just shocked at the amount of people that stop after your first bullet point.

  • Honestly, thank you. I keep seeing people pointing at things and just following up with literally pointing back at the system that has been destroyed as the solution. I guess it is denial. But often times it's hostile denial. Like, I'm the problem for saying we need to work outside of the system that has been destroyed. Or worse, that I caused it somehow by wanting to fight against it.

  • Good idea. I should get a Luigi shirt and I'll get dual fandoms.

  • Can you explain to me the logic of using voting as a tactic at this point? I'm very confused by the "I'll vote no matter what" that runs counter to the fact that we literally will have a fascist military force that will be involved in the voting process.

Do you think we live in a world that has SS troops door knocking BUT we also will somehow have a fair election as long as we are "brave enough"? Like, I'm genuinely asking. Do you think we can vote fascist out of power?

They'll guard the polls. They'll redistrict maps. They'll murder people in the street and say it was "self defense". They'll kidnap children. But, if we just vote them out they'll go "aw shucks, I guess we gotta pack it up".

I genuinely want to know if people think we're still at a point that we can just turn this around with voting. Am I out of touch? Like, I'm not trying to be a Doomer. There are other ways to fight them. I'm not saying to not vote if you're safe to do so. But if you're gonna dodge bullets to go vote. I really want to know if you really think that that will actually make fascist give up their power.

They spent over a month not swearing in an elected official to stop a vote on the Epstein files. What do you think they'll do if they lose too many seats? Genuinely. Am I crazy? Or am I actually paying attention?

  • I live near Seattle. We don't get snow much. But when we do people avoid driving in it because they lack experience and a lot of roads just don't get cleared.

So, those couple days are like a car free paradise. It's so quiet. I can walk around with my kid and not worry about cars. Seriously, hang out with a two year old for a day and you'll realize how much of our world is literally just a death trap. When it snows and no one is driving it's just so peaceful.

  • I'm that guy that always forgets what shirt I'm wearing when someone says "nice shirt". Gotta look down at my chest. I do like how universal this types of quick interactions are with strangers. Something wholesome about it.

  • Until they approve a centralized federal only voting system with ICE agents at every poll. Then they'll just pass off the districts to be determined by Washington instead of that even would matter at that point.

Edit: If i read this 10 years ago and "ICE" was replaced with FBI I'd have thought it was an Alex Jones nut job comment. And now here we are.

  • And now the political pandering that has been the California redistricting plan will instead fall apart at the hands of the fake incompetence of the other right wing party that is the Democrat politicians in California.

  • This is by the design of our system. It's significantly easier to arrest and detain minorities in minority neighborhoods without any evidence of the crimes of ICE. The fact that we have 7 actual cases we are aware of for these crimes by ICE should really raise a red flag that there are many many more that we are not even aware of. And this just murders we are talking about. We will find out in the coming years of rape, abuse, and other crimes these Nazis have done.

Pretti and Good are the examples that should upset us not just for the injustice done to them. But also be seen as a question to all; what do they do when the cameras aren't on them? What do they do when the people filming them don't feel the shield of white privilege? We don't get to see those videos.

Using race as a reason to be a radlib and say 'look at you caring now that white people die' is dumb as fuck. Understanding how race plays a role in the ability for ICE to get away with their crimes is still of vital importancs though.

  • I guess you're just using sarcasm to deal with denial of what is happening.

I get it. The things I'm talking about needing to be done are likely not going to happen. I would say we are both coping with the reality in different ways.

I don't want to be upset with you for dealing with it another way. I guess I just think you're holding onto the idea of a world (or the USA) that no longer exists.

I think there is no way to a better future that isn't fought for against the current systems that exist. You, I am assuming, are trying to restore something (and if I'm being critical that "something" is a delusion of the past). It's why it's so difficult for you to state any concrete plan as I have. Your advice was "be careful" and then fell back on just belittling any talk of organized resistance as some form of adventurism.

It's why you have to pretend I'm talking about something I'm not talking about. You act like I'm talking about some vigilante form of resistance. And I never have been.

I wish you'd try to continue the conversation instead of just falling back on sarcastic responses that criticize a position I don't hold.

  • Good job avoiding the question. My line was crossed already. I am. I'm the person out there with the sign today (something I doubt you are even doing, but literally just telling us to keep doing that, to keep getting tear gassed, keep getting shot with pepper bombs).

If you were even doing the thing you were advocating for. That is. "protesting peacefully" you wouldn't have the ignorant perspective you have. Stop advocating for something you clearly aren't even doing.

By the time your line gets crossed you'll be too scared to even go hold a sign.
