Yup. We’re mostly a linux shop at work, but Fusion360 is almost the only thing we keep Windows around for

Out of curiosity, which step in the arch install did you have issues with on your first two attempts?
Laughs in Archlinux and Brother printer
Had the same journey. Thats the thing though, once you start with custom ppas and packages arch becomes much better. Today, users should largely pull in newer programs through snaps/appimage/flatpak, so I think it’s gotten better than it used to be.
Me too, if procastination is a productivity workload 😅
Hmm. Why not set also set a retirement age? Are there any rules for what happens if a judge gets early onset Alzheimer’s or something?
Actually, looks lhe base patents have expired. All the extentions, SSE, AVX are still in effect though
People who do productivity workloads, and not just gaming
I put sliced bread in the freezer and thaw slices as I need them in my toaster. Works pretty well, haven’t thrown away moldy bread since I started doing that
therarbg.com is a good mirror/clone
We have more local computing power than ever, but getting more and more chained to online services. Ah, the irony
Guy in the picture doesn’t look too good
Overpromise & underdeliver
Holy shit that’s annoying. Say I installed Win11 for my elderly parents. They’d get this sign-up screen after I would have thought everything was setup and ready to use.
Glad I installed elementary OS for them a few years ago, it’s been completely painless (they are used to apple-UX)
I’ve packaged on both distros, and PKGBUILDs are truly amazing
Just because there’s a demand for something doesn’t mean you have to deliver. There needs to be environmental protections in place to avoid overfishing. The article points out a ban on trawling as a possible step, but spends too much time pointing at the aquaculture industry.
The oceans are fucked, and we need to start taking conservation seriously.
Got this update message in signal earlier this week. Nice to see them moving in the right direction, but I guess the initial signup still requires a phone number.
"Your phone number will no longer be visible to anyone on the latest version of Signal unless they have it saved in their phone’s contacts. You can change this in Settings.
A new privacy setting lets you control who can find you by your phone number on Signal.
You can now set and share an optional username to let people chat with you without giving them your phone number. "
Deus ex: revision is pretty good too. Changes a bit more than GMDX compared to the original though (e.g., more map changes, some new soundtracks)
I just lean on tab and let copilot fill the screen with garbage
