  • Eh I remember it looking a lot better, it does look very bland in that trailer now I have watched it back. I suppose your mind fills in what you actually want from the game, but then after it releases you realise you get exactly what you were shown, a mediocre and boring game.

  • Israeli Overwolf payment processor too. Fuck that.

  • Yeah for external DRM, but if a game has Steam DRM, then there's no official label or warning.

For example, Witcher 3 is DRM-free on Steam, but there's nothing (AFAIK) on the Steam page saying that.

  • Epic Games is a scumbag company :)

  • Well the new owner, was one of the original founders.

  • As long as games stop using shitty Epic Online Services, I'll take GOG's.

  • Steam don't disclose it, there's no tag or label on the store page. Which is fucking shitty, either oversight or business decision. So you would never know unless you tried launching the executable yourself, looked it up online or the game was marketed that way.

But yeah, with GOG, you just instantly know.

  • Steam does allow DRM-free games, it's up to whoever is publishing the game to the platform.GOG just currently requires it.

Most of the games on GOG are also DRM-free on Steam.

So it's really just looking at prices and other features that is the defining factor. Considering Steam's Linux support, GOG is off the table for me.

  • Piracy... let the courts deal with it. It's no business of a government.

If companies want less piracy, they can choose to provide a better and more affordable product.

  • Why even bother? New concept ideas are better coming straight from the mind rather than using a model to regurgitate existing things.

  • I find it clunky. There's a forced default dashboard for some reason. I cant limit control of devices/integrations for other users.

I havent tried any others, Home Assistant does the job and is well supported, its just lacking in some areas.

  • Home Assistant is one of them that you think will do the simple task you want it to, but despite its large set of features, it misses the basic ones. The dashboard system is awful, it could be so simple.

  • The fucking ai degenerates in there ahaha, fuck off the lot of you.

  • Dune movies

  • Yea 6 inch is like the limit of a good sized phone for me. Phablets have gone too far.

  • Yeah, the rest I can understand, Arc Raiders is anything but innovative.

  • There's differences in playthroughs, if you choose, but it is linear. The game ultimately railroads you to the same endings.

  • Steam Awards is a popularity contest.

  • Get a Steam Deck? You can hook it up like a PC, use it sat around. Though its not a powerhouse. Wait and see how the Steam Machine fairs? There's still a good second hand market for parts too.

Its a shitty time at the moment with scumbag companies and AI, so consumers are completely fucked.

Also: Fuck subscriptions.Plus the game pass versions of games are complete dogshit compared to the Steam versions most of the time.
