  • It's probably both. If they have limited manufacturing due to RAM prices, then they are not going to sell them in the US, due to tariffs increasing the cost further. Any supply they do have is probably going to Europe and others.

  • 0.1% is generous. It's much smaller.

  • I agree 100%. We should start a new event or maybe expand existing ones slowly to capture more of the world. Maybe the EU could host a non-profit Europe games which can invite more countries over time, turning it into an international event. I don't know, it'd be a big undertaking and I'm not sure how you would stop the EU politics invading. The Commonwealth Games could maybe expand more, but it's already had controversy in the past and I could see it becoming another IOC situation.

But anyway. the olympics are getting exactly 0 of my time.

  • I can do that at other events.

  • Its the IOC... they are massive bigoted dickheads. Dont support the olympics.

  • Yep. If some software requires Discord for support and updates, I find other software.

  • Sounds like a lack of education. The focus should be there, not age verification.

  • It's hard to get away from consolidation. I see things like Stoat getting popular, though it looks like development slowed down?

Teamspeak works fine, most use Discord as a voice and quick text app rather than a social network anyway. And honestly the whole "forum" aspect of Discord needs to rot anyway, perhaps this would stop companies relying on Discord as their news and support outlet, because fuck that.

  • The whole internet is adult-by-default, so why are we doing any sort of age verification?

But please Discord, keep ruining the platform, cause an exodus.

  • They are, but they still crash more than they should. Whether it's a fault of the game or not though can be up for debate, but should a game even be able to fully crash a graphics driver?

  • Just focus on raster performance, fuck all this shitty upscaling crap.

AMD need to get their drivers stable before adding any bs features.

  • Not at all rude, imho, maybe the culture is different where you are from?

I value animals very highly, so why should they get named after food, that seems rude.

  • Nah, real names are the best names for pets. Makes them more part of the family.

  • Land of the free

  • Im guessing end of march

  • Children cannot buy a connection, so if they bought a modem/router, they couldnt do anything with it.

This is the exact point, its a parental failure if they give their children access to the internet without supervision. Maybe it's also a fault of the educational and social systems, for not better preparing our parents to be in this world.

  • Ignoring digital ID being used as state snooping and control for a moment.

It's crazy age verification would ever need to exist online. Children cannot buy an internet connection.

  • It's not? Power draw and efficiency has always been used as a major negative to a lot of things, it's why we have more power efficient devices now. AI is consuming this power for what exactly? It's entirely pointless, only there to enable a circular economy among mega-corporations.

But that's beyond the point here...

It's entirely irrelevant if something is a negative to one thing and not another. When talking drawbacks for something, there isn't a list you have to pick from, they are going to be specific to it.
