  • If this update is trying to sell hotpot it is working.

I have never seen that movie but I have heard it mentioned enough to where I should check it out. Do you think my 2 year old will tolerate it?

That school routine sounds ideal! So sweet.

  • Husband is away again for two weeks. It’s insanity.

We only made it out of the house today to take the dog on a walk and even that felt like a lot. All the housework is piling up. I am sure I’ll have a crazy cleaning burst of energy one of these days…

  • Husband is back. Last week was an adjustment for me to having someone else around. My kid was so excited to see him and took no time adjusting at all. He kept saying “I am happy!”

Trying to put the kid to sleep now so that we can go rip up the lawn so we can replant a new one. We might be crazy.

  • I replied on this thinking it was about kids reading more.

I hardly read books for myself now and when I do I end up reading for like 5 hours straight and not sleeping enough, so books have to wait for me until my kid is older and I am mature enough to stop reading.

  • Last week of solo parenting, for two weeks, and then he goes back out for another two.

I feel like we are doing super well all things considered. I am excited to let my husband handle some mornings and sleep in. That probably won’t happen, but I can dream.

I decided we are going to throw a small party when he gets back. It’s going to be Dadas love tacos, based off the dragons love tacos book. I feel like setting up for a party might prepare my kid for the change. I don’t know, this is uncharted territory.

  • Aww. That made me sad just to read, I hope she makes friends quickly.

  • I agree with what you are saying but you are totally getting downvoted for the make small phones great again part.

But my god my little hands need a little phone again. I would like to reach across single hand texting

  • You’re welcome. If you ever want me to do it again just let me know :) I am very impressed by anyone learning more than one language. I only really know this one.

  • I would say that like this:

I experienced this once. When I was 22, I gave out about 10 dollars and kept being asked (I was too shy to say no!) I ended up giving out 50 dollars. I took it out of the money I had saved for college.

But you really did great and it was a good story

  • But I can understand what you were saying :)

Do you want me to rewrite it for you how I would say it?

  • Less than two weeks left on my solo parenting countdown.

This week my child averaged one nap a day. He skipped his nap entirely one day and it actually went surprisingly well, but the very next day he took two naps after sleeping 11 hours the night before.

We got a membership to a nearby museum and I am so excited to use that membership to get into other museums for free that are far away. I told my husband that by spending more money I actually saved us a lot of money.

Also it’s been like 100+ degrees outside so I just decided I am going to be the person who carries around a beach umbrella everywhere. We live no where near a beach. Sandbox, umbrella. Farm, umbrella. Park, umbrella. Try and stop me. Actually I would take it down immediately if someone tried to stop me. But it has been really helpful and even other kids wander under it almost immediately.

  • America Off Line :( Hope it ‘s not an omen.

  • That was our issue. He wanted to drive every car. He was staring at a VW van and said “ I want to drive that” and one of the workers came over and said “Do you want to go in?”

He got so shy and pouty and I was thinking, my god you just missed your shot little dude. You almost had everything you wanted.

Anyways, they had a car there that was just for kids to touch and climb around on. And a small area with toy cars.

I’ll stop talking about this place now, It just exceeded all expectations.

  • Thank you! I am trying to get out there even though a lot of these places are a little outside my comfort zone.

The car museum was incredible though and I would have never gone on my own. I’ll try to attach a photo

  • Had some hard parts this week where I was overwhelmed (with temper tantrums) but I handled it all pretty well. Some highlights are that we went on a mini train, to a new zoo, a car collection, and the kiddo had his birthday.

I am trying to let him do more on his own, but he wants to do everything!
