I think canned soup is overrated. The nutritional value is surprisingly low. Salt is high. And when I’m looking for something vegan, I figure soups are an easy genre for option. Nope. Everything has some milk product added to it.
The terminal feels like such a haven for me, for its responsiveness. Windows gets slower and slower with each update. Even my Linux DEs are slow now because I’m hardware poor. The terminal is the only app that stays ahead of my typing.
Is it actually bad PR? I don’t get a visceral reaction to the thought of police arresting a celebrity. If people revel in celebrity tabloids, I can’t see them taking their side over the police.
If there is something on your disk that a state actor is going to use magnetic microscopy to try to recover, it seems absurd to worry about still being able to use that hard drive and not just crush/melt it to be sure.
I’m fairly left leaning so I don’t have any itching to bubble to the surface, more so I imagine I’d be bringing them up in response to something else, to play devils advocate in a discussion.

I’m interested in the answer to your question as well. There’s an obvious bias to Lemmy, and Reddit was already left leaning compared to IRL.
Not saying I need a space to be hateful, but I’ll admit I’m afraid to explore right wing ideas anywhere on here. I thought Lemmy was supposed to be about free speech free of corporate influence, but I guess you can’t really expect anywhere to be completely neutral.
Played with it again yesterday. Interface is better than I remember but I think it viewed the .iso files as DVD directories, forcing me to pick a VOB file and deal with it.
