    There has been no official update or scrutiny on this close to trillion dollar investment almost a year later, which is hundreds of billions in the US. This is just one of the Canadian government's investments that is heavily invested into the US. Hard to say that Canada is doing any actions rather than just talking with a big mouth?

  • I've been advocating this for quite a while. I'm honestly confused as to what Canadians are doing and it seems their words are not matching the actions. "Perfect is the enemy of good" they say, which allows them to be complacent and utilize things like social media en-masse, even though the delete button is free and will actually clear your mind to disconnect from those platforms. Please tell me honestly, for example is LinkedIn still expected for tech/adjacent workers in Canada? These are plain and simply propaganda platforms, they are all designed to manipulate minds in precisely the way Orwell or Huxley had predicted. Including dating platforms.

    While lurking I still see on Canadian reddit city subs people recommending LinkedIn, Indeed, Moving to the US for work, etc. I would argue even online most are still deluded, let alone real life who are still voting these authoritarian neo-libs.

    I know it's hard to believe but the majority of Canadians are traitors just as much as these 15% of Albertans who are seperatist. Grow a pair and delete all your American profiles, divest out of S&P500, protest the government to divest CPP and other hundreds of billions out of the US, but most won't do even one of those because actions speak louder than words, and that's just too much work for most Canadians. This will get much, much worse, before it even starts to get better.

  • Always was. Make no mistake that Alberta is Canada's Sudetenland/Crimea. Is it not obvious to say the US military appears more similar to Nazi Germany rather than Russia a couple years ago. Canada is stronger with Alberta and when it's annexed there must be a fight or it'll just be easier to get at the rest of greater Canada.   • Yeah this is such a pipe dream after over a year of no movement, the first baby step is motivating citizens to voluntarily delete their "free" accounts on US services. Next good luck with corporate adoption, without hefty government subsidies they will never use Linux, LibreOffice, local hosting, or other alternatives. Canada still has easily over a trillion invested into the US economy not even counting citizen investments, there has been zero demand to divest investments, ban US propaganda platforms, plus most will allow Alberta to be annexed which will cause the greater Canschluss. Appeasing authoritarian regimes never ends well, but rather people don't realize they voted in a neoliberal authoritarian (both major candidates should've been replaced, Carney is closely tied to the biggest company in Canada and regularly meets with their board members, he has not even begun to move away any major investments that have minimal consequence, which is proving that he is a fascist), actions speak louder than words. Since this 1/3 stat correlates with the ~30% travel boycott among others, it's clear that the majority of Canadians are traitors after over a year of knowing the clear truth about their close ally, how unfortunate.

    EDIT: You anti-intellectual losers destroyed your own countries' future and are now trying to shoot/blame the messenger. Canada is in a lost decade, check the GDP-per-capita on the official statscan website which shows flat nominal results, meaning that with inflation this stat has dropped more than 20% since 2018. Seek introspection.
