  • Handheld wise, I've been using my GP2X since 2006 and a couple years ago I purchased an Evercade. The Evercade is nice, but I still use my GP2X more. Apart from these, I do most of my retro gaming with VICE (on my PC) and TheC64Mini (on the T.V.). As you can probably guess by now, I'm an old-school Commodore guy. 😄

  • Ghee, sounds almost as good as it does on the SID! 😆

  • Thank you! Well, I wouldn't say text adventure games were a test of one's "smarts", but they are an aquired taste. I admit that I only have the patience to play through certain ones. But, the couple I've listed here are ones I found entertaining enough to finish. I hope others do, too!

  • Nice to see Disroot featured here. Although, I was kind of hoping that, rather than a demo, the video was going to discuss reasons why Disroot's "ethical email service" was a better choice than, say, Gmail or Proton or what-have-you. Maybe in a follow up video sometime in the future?

  • Nice! I've always wanted one of these, too. Looks like this one is in great shape. Enjoy! 😄

    Text adventures for the beginner

  • Hello and thank you! To help me have a better understanding (and to evangelize with a bit of wisdom) in a short paragraph or two, would anyone like to summarize how D*Scribe / Lemmy compares to Reddit or other similar communities? Does it boil down to being a decentralized service, or is there more going on behind the scenes?

If it's strength is a decentralized community of sorts, does this mean that, with our account here, we can now access other Lemmy servers and discussion groups on other servers?
