I’ve just finished a 2 hour session and I’m enjoying the game. There are a few things that are strange, but I’m slowly figuring things out. I’m getting more use to the inventory and crafting so it’s not as frustrating as it was before.
I run a bunch of GPT2 bots on https://sh.itjust.works/c/Asslips.
If one of my bots post something that you hate, let me know.

Thank you very much for your reply, it’s very appreciated.
The collecting part just feels tedious and boring, but I just started a new game a few minutes ago and it’s not terrible. I’ve just played so many resource collecting games that it’s just annoying to me, but it’s not the end-all.
As far as crafting goes I just find it confusing. The tutorial takes you to your damaged ship and it’s just weird that you have to click inside your ships cargo space and it’s suddenly like a crafting bench. The same goes for the exo-suit. It would’ve made more sense to build a crafting bench to set nearby and go that route.
I do think I’ll get use to the systems in this game, it’s just a lot of new territory thrown at me at once. I’m just use to other crafting games, but I do need to be more open to accepting how this game plays.
I do appreciate the mention of the options menu, but I’m just going to play the standard / normal game and learn what to do.
It wasn’t good a few years ago when I tried it, and I ended up refunding it entirely because of the VR. I purchased it again last year and played for an hour or two before putting it back down. I have a whopping 3.8 hours total.
I will give this game another shot due to this major update, and to be honest it’s very unfair of me to gripe about this game with under 4 hours total playtime. I absolutely love space games, so this should be right up my alley. I may eventually hop back in VR and give that a shot as well.
My main dislikes are the crafting and collection of materials, but hopefully once I’m over that hurdle I’ll see the game as it really is.
My coworkers basically live off of Monster energy drinks. Those energy drinks mess with my heart too much, so I stay far away.
Project Hospital, X4: Foundations, and Elite Dangerous.
I haven’t played Project Hospital for a long time, but all of the updates made me want to play again. I’m enjoying it a lot so far.
I’ve also just came back after years away from X4 and ED. I’m just relearning the basic systems again, but can see myself putting in a lot of hours back into Elite Dangerous. X4 is a tough cookie for me, but I think it’s definitely worth trying to invest a bit more of my time into.
I haven’t read the body of your post (don’t want any spoilers), but I’ve always had a very tough time getting into this game. I think it’s the strategy of how to play the cards because I always get my ass handed to me. I’ve solved some of the puzzles around the room, but some of them I just selected random things and the drawer opened.
I’ll have to sit down and give it a serious go at some point. I love roguelike games, but only for so many deaths which will start to annoy me.
I go in blind as possible with every game I play, but this is a tough cookie to not look up spoilers due to how bad I am at this game.
