  • I've been watching these "scary camping encounters" videos online. A lot of times the "scary" part is just a person coming up on someone's camp site in the night.

    In the US that might actually be strange because you can be miles and miles out into the forest. But every time the video takes place in the UK it's like "come on, you can see a house/road right there".

    The US education system is cooked. It's not hard to do better.

    Homeschooling gets a bad wrap because it is very poorly regulated and leads to some of the dumbest, least well adjusted adults you can possibly create.

    But it can also lead to a much better, proper education if the parents are intelligent and truly care about the kids education.

  • Ehh, it has integrated touch gesture support (at least on fedora) so I feel like it's kind of both.

    It's really not THAT bad. The fact that the text prediction at the top changes the position of the keyboard and can't be disabled drives me nuts.

    FWIW I use Fedora + Gnome on a touch screen only tablet and it all works well enough.
