  • My old motherboard's driver disc from 2015 would install Google toolbar if you weren't careful

  • I never leave my laptop unsupervised, I'm more concerned about it getting stolen than malicius USB devices. And if someone gets to my desktop while I'm not looking, I've got bigger problems.

  • Could be a 5150 too, IIRC they use the same case. If you could see if there's a hard drive on the front, it would confirm it being a 5160 XT.

  • No? I just don't plug random shit in my computer.

  • Your HDMI problems are Nvidia's fault. WIFI I've never had problems unless it's a shitty WIFI card, BT also works, even with my shitty adapter. No noticable latency on a DualSense controller.

  • I've been happy with FreeCAD for my CAD needs, but the stuff I do is pretty simple.

  • Unfortunately pirating online games isn't really a thing. Though there are few online ganes worth playing nowadays

  • You seem knowledgeable on the subject, what the hell is 8 pin firewire? 400 has 6 pins, 800 has 9 and the small version for camcorders and stuff is 4.

  • To me it looks like standard plywood

  • Good luck, a lot of packages in the repos are scripts to install snap and the software through that

  • I recently installed on a new system, and it took of lot of tries with nondescript errors to get new certs fetched

  • That's a bummer. It's great for this stuff, don't need processing power or memory, and I don't really care if it got nuked for some reason

  • I am behind GCNAT, and my ISP doesn't do IPv6. I have a free tier VPS from Oracle that uses wireguard to tunnel packets to my home server.

  • Aww cute

  • Java runs on like 3 billon devices doesn't it? At least that's what the installer told me

  • It never died

  • We have a hard wired 6kW system and it also works the same way.
