  • I had considered upgrading this year. I just bought two battery cases for my s20fe cause I figure I'll have it for awhile longer now and my battery case is getting hard to find now and the current one is more than a year old.

  • I appreciate the response. Ty.

  • Serious question out of curiosity, is it like a mental arousal only thing, or occasional sexual arousal thing? If I'm out of bounds I'm sorry. If you prefer not to answer or if this makes you uncomfortable, please don't bother answering.

  • I got, "I am insecure in my masculinity and I need a subservient creature that I will not respect to feel powerful"

  • I mean, the fact that Klingons being different may have to do with losing their world and 800 years of evolving? But sure, I'm sure he's the only one that didn't act like a berserker lusting for violence (Even though Worf and Alexander were other examples of culturally different Klingons). My only hangup with Klingons is the constant shift in appearances. Species don't change drastically 3 times in one century usually. To trigger so many mutations Qonos must be constantly shifting in climate.

  • Old school Star Trek, beams and transmissions to the skull. STNG: Check out this technologically superior collection of races with wires and shit jammed into their bodies. Ds9: Same. Voyager: We like to mix our body horror with curvy female forms. Discovery: We are all over the place in timelines. We like jamming tiny robots in your body, Borg don't know shit about penetration. (I havent watched anything else except Academy)

  • I know! Nigeria!

  • Mine were Kidde as well. They were installed by my dad maybe 17 years ago when he built the home. I eventually found the breaker after a fun game of yelling "Is the light on?" I laughed when I found out it was on the same breaker as the septic aerator (which I had apparently also attached to a garage circuit overhead for work lights and ceiling outlets for tools due to the wall circuit overloading). Fun fact for the people who may not be familiar with septic aerators - when they lose power they have a box on a separate circuit for the failure alarm (which isn't very loud but annoying af).

  • YSK that those old detectors will most likely not have the same plugs as the old ones, either. Prepare to figure out what circuit they're all on and a rewire with new dongles (pigtails? Not sure of the right name). Ah, what a fun weekend. 15 min turned into a couple of hours.

  • They did a sequel, too. It wasn't as good, but points out the 6 degrees of separation in connection with terrorism instead of MAD.

  • Came here to say this. Turns out real life WOPR is nothing like a movie.

  • "This just in. Panic buying of paper has led to shortages in timber, resulting in another round of toilet paper scarcity."

  • Because there are other countries with states, like Mexico, Brazil, and India. Do you know how many states are in each country? Neither did I, until I looked some up. Mexico has 31 states, btw, and it's causing my brain to itch with its odd number instead of even. There are no other countries with 50 states, but I didn't know prior and now I have useless trivia folded into my melon.

  • Paramount gets confused about who is ad free too. You have to restart the app to fix it. I just got the ad version cause why bother if I get ads and can't fast forward or rewind anyhow?

  • My daughter is 15. She hates guns. Hates being around them, the sound, the idea of harm, etc. 4 weeks ago she came crying afraid for her friends and ICE. Last week she told me she wanted to learn to shoot. (I inherited a lot of guns. I bought a few myself. I come from a conservative family and I am the black sheep, the one that "changed".) Still trying to get ahold of someone from Blazing Sword as an instructor. I want her to learn from someone with actual teaching instruction, rather than backwoods learning that I got.

Kids are terrified. Schools are scary, the law is scary, the dungeon dwelling creeps are now villified. I can see why suicide is increasing.

  • From what I've heard, it's like inkjet printers and a signature. Add a squiggle along the inevitable seam that is on the print. Each squiggle is different, and it may even skip every three layers or so.

  • Fallout plays a comedic take on it, but I can very much see a gun being made out of iron pipe and a shovel handle.

  • Ha! Jokes on you. My state is so poor it was the least affected by the 2008 crisis. Wait, that still sucks, only more...

  • Neckties belong in business, but not all business. I threw a big stink when I worked at Kohls. Women could wear polos, slacks, etc. Men had to wear dress shirts and ties, slacks or dress pants. It's retail, ties can get caught on a lot of shit (registers, conveyors, doors, etc). Took a year but the Regional manager finally saw the light and later it became corporate policy. Women also couldn't wear necklaces for the same reason.

  • What's this Plant? @mander.xyz
