I am now convinced that the Chinese way of notating dates (YYYY/MM/DD) is the superior method, just by virtue of avoiding the confusion of having to wonder whether it is DD/MM or MM/DD when seeing a date online. Of course ideally the best system is actually YYY/MM/DD using the French Revolutionary calendar (today is 234/03/30: 30 Frimaire, Year 234).
I guess I'm not surprised to see that the Estonian border guards are as unaccommodating as ever. I would like to say that at least you didn't spend 7h just waiting at the border like I did last year (also at the Narva-Ivangorod crossing), but your experience seems quite a bit more stressful than mine… I'm glad that the bus waited for you in the end!
