It is the same damn story every time. We know that MAGAs only constitute 30-40% of Americans. It is the shitty US election system and more which enables them to completely rule the country despite being a minority. They will never have a majority in anything, and there will always be a majority disliking what Trump and his fascists does.
If Putin really was so afraid of NATO, he wouldn't have dismantled his AA around the borders of basically all NATO countries and transferred them to Ukraine (a non-NATO country) and Kreml.
You have fallen for a very stupid lie, or more likely you happily propagate the lie for whatever nefarious purposes you have.
It was pretty much still happening in the South while those grandparents were busy fighting it elsewhere. And it continued to happen in the US south for decades after WWII.
They are not exempt from guilt, but the that is not the point. The point is that this is not just yet another example of random police brutality and abuse of their powers. This is oligarch dictated suppression of dissidents.
It is different and much more serious than just "cops being abusive assholes".
Unfortunately probably a lot fewer will move than we expect. People seem capable of accepting all sorts of shittification in favour of actively changing their platform. Just look at how many still uses twitter, despite its literal nazification.
And much more of an incentive to kill their victims as well.
