  • Six months ago??? People were saying to use mint back then too, like every thread. I understand it’s completely based on your hardware but you can understand how it’s hard to trust anyone saying mint right? On the other hand CachyOS and Garuda both work really hard to make sure every hardware config works properly.

  • I don’t think M1 has anything to do with the topic except as an advertisement. Title could literally be “MacBook Air takes a direct shrapnel hit” (air is relevant since it’s the thinness that matters) and it would be just as effective of a title.

  • I was head mod on a big sub. Posts were getting removed from my sub by Reddit without my permission. It was Reddit doing it, not mods.

  • It was 6 months ago when I finally switched to Linux. I tested several distros. Zorin and Mint both had numerous, numerous problems.

    Nvidia 3080. No clue what kernel version, just installed the default from the website (full install, not a live image).

I was making a joke about how one of the distros I use isn’t on there. I don’t know the history of my distro and honestly do not care. Any noob also would not care.

  • Ioniq 5 is $65k for the fully specced version. How do I know? I own one. Nobody is buying base model anything.

    Once again, nobody is buying base spec cars, especially not teslas, who’s only selling points are long range (not available in base spec) and ‘self driving’ (once again not available in base spec)

    Not really any good response for the last one, besides watch a video and decide for yourself. Articles might say something is good but then a video shows an entirely different story.

  • Reddit removes (or at least did at one point) any lemmy links or posts trying to get people to switch to Lemmy.

  • Why is sharpedo blocked in image searches on DuckDuckGo and Bing, but not Google?

  • Just type some gibberish but with pedo in it. It should still return something if it’s not actually blacklisted since most searches use some form of word distance algorithm.
