Lol why did they explain ‘bringing me down’ to mean ‘taking off a high’, to then later explain ‘taking off a high’ as ‘sobering up’ 😂

“Be a man, put on that thong. What, a big strong man like you afraid of frilly fabrics? It’s just cotton man, it can’t hurt you. Aww big man afraid of a piece of fabric so sad :'(”
It’s fun, you should do it, I’ve had many interesting interactions when going that route. Most laugh, a few get visibly confused and upset, and bro that’s the greatest part. Its a great litmus test of how comfortable a dude is in their masculinity.
Cost of living adjusted for average income and inflation is probably not the same as the 1920s tho. Dont have the numbers on me atm so could be wrong 🤷
The culture of drinking goes way further back than any other probably. Jesus drank wine. Meth is relatively new. So i think it’s the combo of being easily manufactured, and the tradition and cultural relevance of the substance as well.
It’d be like trying to ban wheat-farming or something
Maybe but read into the history of prohibition and its pretty clear that ‘making it hard to start’ carries much bigger problems for society than any individual risk of addiction.
Criminalization feeds Black markets, which leads to more organized crime. Also creates stigma which makes addicts less likely to seek out help. If you care about addicts, or society, dont advocate for ‘making it harder’. It’s antithetical to those positions, as it doesn’t help ANYTHING.
