  • Thats a noble principle but it doesn't really work when the game is an older or somewhat obscure one without much developer support left. Especially online games that have some fuckery preventing them from running via proton/wine.

I know it's more of an edge case, but theres dozens of us holding onto some shitty 20-year old MMOs

  • Also it's only a viable solution as long as there are countries that don't have age verification laws. 10 years from now there's going to be a very busy VPN endpoint somewhere in Antarctica.

It's a bandaid fix that doesn't address the actual problem.

  • "Hey, that guy stealing all our stuff was in Frasier!"

  • Is their Spanish course based on any particular country's dialect?

  • Don't know if you're serious but the store is way older than that similar-sounding thing

  • Don't know about other places with a deposit system, but in Finland 98% of aluminium cans are recycled. Seems to work pretty well

  • I remember someone creating a "FreeTibet" guild in some Chinese MMO like 15 years ago. They did not fly under the radar for more than 15 minutes.

  • Big Feline advertising all over this thread

  • Wow, you weren't kidding. I wish I had that much confidence in my comments

  • Makes it hilarious on a whole new level

  • Yeah, I've blocked every US-specific community I've seen on the everything feed but it keeps spilling into seemingly unrelated communities too. And it's only going to get worse.

  • Someone pointed out it's actually a usb stick with two different ends, which sounds pretty neat. I also thought it was like a cable without the actual cable part so your phone would just be dangling there awkwardly

  • I think a big problem is that most people who stumble upon posts from Vegancirclejerk are random non-vegans who see it in their feed. Is it even possible to exclude communities from the everything feed on Lemmy?

It's a shame because VCJ and VFCJ were my favourite communities on Reddit but the vibe on their Lemmy counterpart is not quite there yet. I just want my cruelty free echo chamber back dammit.

  • What country?

  • What wasn't feature-rich was the chat, just plain text, no emoticons or rich text or anything. Absolutely loved it.
