  • Its pretty nuts here in Tennessee. I wouldnt say people here are progressive or pro democrats, but they are very tired of Republicans, at least when I talk to my coworkers, thats what I hear from them.

    Except the Boomers who want to live in Techno feudalism.

  • I think DS2 has been getting more appreciation in recent years, it got slandered hard by a content hate train back in the 2010s with people like Mauler and in the early 2020s by FeebleKing. I think most people now acknowledge that its a good game, just not most people's favorite.

    It is my personal favorite tho. Way more chill than 3 or Elden Ring imo.

  • Dark Souls 3. I have all these huge build plans and want to revisit it, but I always lose interest super quickly after thinking about all the mediocre areas i gotta get through and frustrastion of the enemies that almost encourage you to just run past all of them. Really sucks too, cuz the endgame stuff is great, I just cant be bothered with the tedium of everything between Undead Settlement and Irythil or whats its name.

  • IDK i go back and play Doom 1 every few months and I love it. The small mechanics, the abstract level designs, mowing down hundred of demons with plasma rifles and miniguns is super satisfying to master. I didn't even grow up with doom, I only started playing it back in like 2015 or so.

    But it is dated, and if you dont mesh with the mechanics, i sorta get it. I never really liked old platformers myself, so probably something to do with that.

  • When a game rereleases with an enhanced version or remake and it ruins the atmosphere. Been playing SMT Strange Journey Redux, and the new artstyle feels so generic and bland compared to the OG Strange Journey. The original had this kind of dark and oppressive atmosphere that Redux is sort of missing. Its really minor, since Redux does add a ton of stuff, so its probably still the better way to play, but that original tone just isnt the same.

  • While I typically dont mind most heroes having a costume that doubles as advanced armor or the like, such as Spidey or Batman (Tho i like when Spidey has more makeshift stuff,) I do prefer the more corny, fun look for Superman. As much as I like Absolute Superman, I do like his hopeful colorful look the most.

  • I don't think they aren't smart in a logical sense, I think its more of a lack of critical thinking and a focus on short term gains (which i would argue aren't even that good lol)

  • Thats the thing! They most definitely are not! My dad has a degree in computer science, (never did anything with it) and my mom has a degree in ... well accounting, but she is smart, I promise. I think they are just so incredibly gullible. You know that saying, its easy to trick someone with a lie but impossible to convince someone of the truth, or something like that. I think deep down, they know they are wrong, but they dont want to admit that they part of the problem.

  • I think their just trapped in a bubble of bad info and are influenced by racism subconsciously. I KNOW my parents aren't bad people, but they sure as hell arent talking like good people or even well thought-out people.

    I guess I just thought my parents were smarter, that they could see through this admins BS. They seriously claim that Trump is doing much better than Biden, but I talk to everyone I know, and they are all having money problems, food insecurity and housing problems, all being made worse under Trump.

    I think my parents are just selfish. And it breaks my heart that they are betraying everything I thought I learned from them. I guess maybe they didnt influence me as much as I thought.

    It was kind of funny though, because my husband was like, "Now you know how I feel." At least they are a-okay with me and my husband, though, at this rate, I'm worried that wont be the case in a couple years.
