  • To add onto that, by the time some toxins present themselves (as in you're feeling/noticing effects) it's already too late and fatality is imminent

  • Ugh... Right.... Today I was at a place with my partner and a group of younger (not as in young, just younger than us) girls behind us. They were talking about some place they were familiar with and how cute it was, how they hadn't been there in so long

"That's like the most instagramable place ever!" I swear I could see the back of my skull, that's how hard my eyes rolled

Told my partner, "I guess we judge places by how instagram worthy they are.." Their reply, "so cringe"

  • Thank you for that. I guarantee you when I think of ER it's a mashup of them both and I should probably give it a fair shake. There's a lot of shows my parents watched that I didn't appreciate until I was older

My family watched Northern Exposure and I absolutely fell in love with it when I gave it a shot a few years ago

  • I've never watched ER. It was on a lot when I was a kid and it reminded me too much of the soap operas that were also on; absolute disinterest

Anyways, the link preview was hilarious to me

Not the subject of him dying but just the title is so direct

  • And when I've tried it numerous times I'll let them walk me through the process while I browse the internet for a couple minutes while I "wait for the light to turn green"

Nope, it's still flashing yellow, like it has been, and has been after the last couple resets of everything between me and the wall

Oh you'll send a technician out? Thx.

  • We had a dog that loved his doggy daycare/camp. He'd get bummed when we were packing but in the ride there he'd get over that really fast. Couldn't wait to get out of the car once we arrived! The only thing I didn't like was they all got flea powdered so he'd get a bath when we returned

  • As despicable a person I may find him, the truth is more important. I do appreciate the clarification

  • Yes!!! I love those guys

I grew up with my family listening to NPR so some of my fondest memories are getting up to my parents or grandparents making breakfast with that on, or any other of their wonderful shows

  • Here's the link to the site:

    I haven't poked around yet

Edit: there's nothing else really, unless there's some hidden urls

  • This reminds me of something I heard on the radio a million years ago:

    https://www.npr.org/2018/09/29/652927798/-1839-the-chia-pontiac

Here's Click and Clack from the Car Talk radio show

Putting this show on is so bittersweet. I miss this from my upbringing and these two guys were so great; I was genuinely sad when I heard one of them had passed

I'll try to get the timestamp for the relevant part, but the title of the episode hopefully gives a hint and it's worth listening to it in the entirety anyways

Edit: alright, the timestamp is 31:50!

Edit 2: I forgot to include who it is

  • Oh man, I've got one at home I got from Europe 20 some years ago. I hope to remember to get you a picture when I return

It says "Hard Rock Cafe Prague" in orange letters that don't match their font on a black sweater. 1000% unlicensed and I love it (I'm pretty sure that is the correct city)

  • Hah thanks! This pops in my head every once in a while but I forget to look it up when I have a chance to

  • I'm glad nothing went awry. I was always skeptical about it because no one figured it out. It's crazy what we do especially as kids with our innocent bliss

  • It's hard to get over "that". It feels good but vulnerable to let yourself out. But literally no one cares

This scene has resonated with me for a while and I love it and embrace it

  • Oh that looks so fun! I'll definitely check it out. I feel that I might be able to scrounge together a group that would enjoy this

  • That reminds me of a "game" kids would (try) to play when I was young at school. The kids would say to do just that "bend over, take a deep breath" and the other one would try to lift them up really quickly. I never saw it work. I guess you were supposed to pass out. Idk
