Yeah that’s what I was thinking. Insulin costs $7 in Australia vs $98 in the US. I’m guessing US drug companies want the cost in Australia to go up so US doesn’t look as bad in comparison
I misread pensioners as prisoners. Was really worried about what they do in prisons over there. Then got to the comments saying “this is common” and I reread the title a couple times before it clicked. Wow I need sleep.
I tried using the Leaf for a couple weeks. It was interesting.
I guess I should stop interacting with Reels
I might be wrong but I think 28x28 is 16x(7x7) instead of 4x. It should be 7x7x4 instead of (7x4)x(7x4)
What’s with the 1m value and why are all tech companies doing it?
I live in Australia, which I guess is not a civilized country.
In any case, what does that even mean for software engineers to be certified? Do we get certifications for specific programming language? Or a stack? Or is it specific to what industry your tech is based on? Cos I don’t think it makes sense for someone working on a social media platform to have the same certification as someone who’s working on health tech for example. Why does it need to be a protected title? Does the general public even care or is it just other certified engineers who care?
Yeah I was gonna ask, whether certification/government regulations are required for all engineering disciplines. I graduated with a CS degree and work as a software engineer now. I have family members who studied different engineering disciplines (industrial, civil, mechanical, etc), and only 1 of them ever needed certification (civil engineer). What makes one more “engineering” than others?
I’ve only visited Colorado once, during my cross country road trip maybe 10 years ago (I’ve since left the US) and loved it there. I did notice how much healthier/thinner everyone was. I was in Boulder for 2-3 days and did a couple day hikes. Everyone was very friendly. I would love to live there. As someone who’s on the higher side of normal weight, I’ve never felt so unfit.
I have a 15 Pro as well and mine is still ok. Although I rarely use the port because I use wireless charging most of the time.
I did have an issue with CarPlay disconnecting sometimes, even though the cable itself doesn’t pop out. But it also happens on my husband’s Pixel, and we’ve tried other cables, so we think it’s just the car’s connection rather than the cable/phone.
Had the same requirement to get Australian citizenship. It wasn’t easy since most of the people I knew were mostly temporary residents/non-citizens too, and my occupation isn’t on the list so coworkers are out the running.
That’s sooner than I thought!
Is this true? I’ve been having some issues on my LibreWolf this past week or two, when sometimes YouTube takes 3-4 seconds to recognize a key press.
Is TTRPG live play community allowed?
!criticalrole@lemmy.world For live play D&D show Critical Role (and all their other ventures, including Daggerheart). Currently it’s just us 2 mods posting mostly even though we get comments from other members here and there.
Oh the 430m is mile? I read it as meter and was confused by the 690k
For anything Critical Role related, including from their main live-play D&D game and their adult animation show The Legend of Vox Machina
Does that mean they chose to be gay?
They’re just stopping development of the Pro to focus on the cheaper model so not necessarily abandoned
Any additional context. Like why did they decide to do this? Or when is it going to happen? How long is the visa for and what other countries have it already?
