I like Rachel Maddow and Ari Melber's show but I just consume them via audio only podcast. Removing the visual aspect of news broadcast is very important IMO. I can't stand the way Fox News and CNN create their visual presentation. I never watched MSNBC so I don't know if they do the same cherry coated gloss over everything. Plus the stupid ticker shit at the bottom, doing their best to distract from the actual information that should be conveying
same, Bandcamp is my normal go to outside of direct sales. I do buy a lot of vinyl from indie stores and discogs. Live music is the best way to support a music artist, and I try to buy something from their sales booth. I rarely wear the shirts but it's fun to add to my collection
I'd have to use it again to tell you, to be honest. It's been couple months since I last did and so my memory is a little foggy except for my dislike. I remember not liking how tabs work and how it took a bunch of tinkering to make it less annoying.
on a machine that I ran for years, i basically did kde but with a different file manager, that was wonky and presented it's own problems but it wasn't Dolphin so I was satisfied
i wonder how many artists have actually seen that kind of money on a song they created. Sure there's the pop artists that can and do but consider artists like TLC who dominated the charts and were pennyless at the end of the day because they didn't understand their contracts
i just can't stand gnome anymore, it was my favorite for a long time too. KDE is fine but I fucking hate Dolphin. I'm into Cosmic right now but I'm not sure I like the file manager
it's odd that they need to go through that when all they really needed to do is show how Native Americans are treated in the community right outside reservations or how dark skinned people from the inner cities are treated in rural towns.
it's been pretty clear how America is a mixture of bad and good. depends on how you look and how much wealth you have if you're not from here
a perfect example of why you can't just go with the answer that seems to be the correct one in true Occam's Razor form, but usuing it as the starting point
in 1984, the main character Winston only has to go to Room 101, because he was IN the Party. The Proles got to live outside the hell we learn about in story.
the insiders who don't follow the insider rules will suffer in ways that are usually much more harsh
