  • Patriotism is just the US word for nationalism.

  • Yes, like I said.

They are not obligated to give it to you at the "wrong" price, but at the same time it's illegal to put up the sign if it's misleading with the wrong price on purpose.

They are then obligated to fix the sign, otherwise it's misleading.

  • Best shot is that EU will make it possible, as they distance themselves from US tech right now.

  • It's illegal in Germany, but not in the way you think.

It's illegal to write to wrong price on the sign on purpose, but if it happens by accident the shop is not obligated to sell at the price on the sign.

That's it. You is blowing this way out of proportion.

  • Which proves we are no better than reddit users. We are just more privacy minded, but still dumb fucks with a keyboard.

  • My guess would be these OS's just wont do it and stop doing business in that state.

Lucky for you, you can just download them anyway.

My guess is also that these lawmakers dont care nor considered other OS's than Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android.

  • Yeah, they must work then.

  • The difference between red caps and red armbands is time.

  • I hope enough people see this, because bad things often get more attention on these platforms than positive.

  • I've noticed some UK medias doing this. Also before AI. Some make bullet points in the top of the article also for what the whole text is about.

In one way it's better than people only reading headlines. In the other way, probably more people wont read past the bullet points.

So I dont know if this is AI, or just a cultural thing spreading.

  • Breaking the chain is both equally hard and important. Your own future family will be a better place.

  • Proton > US companies

It's not perfect, but no reason to recommend Google, Microsoft or Apple above it.

  • "Very weird way of writing numbers"

You mean like in all of Europe (excluding UK and Ireland) and latin America? It's only english speaking countries and some Asian countries that separate with ,

  • They mandate 3rd party app stores for Apple also. You can "side load" in the EU on an iPhone.

  • They mandate 3rd party app stores. I think we are passed that.

Google is just power grapping what they can towards everyone else to make up for lost profit.

  • Cant argue with that.

  • This is only fuel on the EU open source initiatives.

But I'm pretty sure Google wont get away with locking down EU customers anyway, as this is clearly a breach of the DMA.

  • If it's those pay-per-ride city bikes, then you bet your ass they are tracked.

People from Europe: Since the US is moving away from the western world we know, who do you see us collaborate more with in the future?
