I read a lot of recipes, I used to work as a pastry chef, and it’s always fun to me when I look something up and none of the top results are from the US. We just don’t get into some things, I guess, and then I find 100 recipes from Europe for beetroot cake or whatever.
I’m so happy to have the herb garden in full bloom again. I missed being able to just step outside and harvest a bunch of different herbs to cook with. I made mac and peas for dinner last night, which is pretty much what it sounds like, a light Parmesan cream sauce with macaroni, peas, and every herb within reach.
The tomatoes are starting to fruit, too, so quick garden tomato sauces are on the horizon.
