  • The best part is, this is so lazy the mascot is AI generated. 4 fingers vs 3 fingers. Looool, no one bothered to clean it up.

  • Please there be a battery life improvement. My phone barely lasts a day any more.

  • 😋

  • Destruction of the planet, hardly. The earth has and will shrug of worse than humanity. Thinking otherwise is giving humanity too much credit.

Destruction of humanity is more likely. We are actively making the earth worse for us, and many other species. But there are many more which will survive and thrive after we destroy ourselves.

  • Got caught in that trap at my first coding job. Made a sort formula and a sr dev asked my I didn’t just use the array.sort.

My answer: I didn’t know it was there.

  • There are a lot of good reasons from other users in this thread which explains why not to trust the company. My reason is that Manjaro as an OS is broken.

I’ve ran it on 2 laptops and both had system breaking bugs which corrupted the install after a few months. I tried installing just from their repo I’ve tried being careful when I update but every time the system would one day update and never turn back on.

Arch especially AUR supported arch is amazing. But Manjaro isn’t the way to use it.

  • Thanks Tariffs

  • I mean I downloaded it to see what Zorin 18 looked like. Didn’t get far when my keyboard stopped working in the VM

  • Rollercoaster Tycoon.

It’s just a game on a cereal box how good can it be?

    25 years later…

  • I thought all my files were already uploaded to Onedrive?

  • I watch Freeman's Mind and wanted to play. Yeah totally not my cup of tea.

  • Chrono Trigger, and finishing the games first full arc. What would normally be the end literally showed me that this game had so much more, which expanded the more I played it.

  • 😱

  • I live in a house designed by a boomer. Networking comes in the upper floor while nothing is in the lower

These power over Ethernet is the only way I can get networking down stairs.

  • Tried Linux to play games on after steam deck started getting good. Though my it was fine.

Then I got a new laptop. Tried to install windows 11. Required internet to setup. I installed Linux and haven’t looked back.

  • It’s on par with the NES version but omits the stair climb so you can actually finish it.

  • I liked the game loop.

Catch ghost upgrade weapons and accessories to help catch more ghosts.

I just gets boring after a few loops.

The Atari 2600 version is impressive though.

    NES < C64 < 2600

  • Oddball games I picked up over the years.

Jurassic Park - follows the novel which has some fun set pieces. Difficult

Toy Story - TT game, and a fun “doom” level

    Zero Tolerance- FPS for genesis

Scooby Doo Mystery- unless the snes game it’s actually a point and click adventure. Very fun

  • Like Sony, I like it when Nintendo isn’t doing well. When they feel comfortable they start doing the bare minimum to keep consumers happy, since they don’t need to win anyone over. Which leads to what I perceive as an arrogance.

Think back to Nintendo going from the Wii to the Wii U or Sony from the PS2 to the PS3. These systems had 3rd party support but it was because of the pure gravity of their success rather than being good hardware. So when the next box came out they continued as status quo and assumed consumers would pay since it’s from them. Only to find that no one did and they had to start making compelling games again to win consumers over.

This is why I loved systems like the PS3 and Wii U. Unique games like Splatoon, and Super Mario Maker as well as Uncharted and Infamous came from Sony and Nintendo trying to convince consumers to buy from them again.

And it worked. Which helped their next systems sell well too. But then the cycle repeats and we get the current market. Without serious competition and both Sony and Nintendo carving out their own niche I don’t know if we’ll see another flop, but I am hopeful since when they are trying to win consumers, we see some fun games.
