  • You can't "experience" nothingness. Even if you could, you can fear things you've experienced before...

  • What handheld is he playing in the top image? Looks too small to be a steam deck

  • Oh OK

  • Northerners weren't simply more high minded than southerners concerning slavery - industrialization lessened their dependence on slaves to the point where they could abandon slavery without the economy crumbling.

Presumably this would happen in the south as they industrialized as well.

  • We grant you the rank of EU member, but you are not in Europe.

Edit: For those of you taking this seriously, it's just a play on a stupid star wars meme

  • What's wrong with whacking it to sports illustrated? Who is being harmed?

  • Agreed. I saw this and thought it looked beautifully passive aggressive

  • Are we head canoning Kira as bi now or is she including mirror universe Kira in this? Or maybe I missed something in several watches.

  • I did. You never explained where you got this idea that Millennials have a 25 year gap and the others are 10.

  • Which is exactly why I qualified it saying it's not exact. What dates are you using? You must be using something to say that Millennials are 25 years while the others are 10. That's MY point.

  • It's not an exact definition, but below I think is close:

Baby Boomers: Born 1946-1964 (18 years)

    Generation X: Born 1965-1980 (15 years)

    Millennials (Gen Y): Born 1981-1996 (15 years)

    Generation Z: Born 1997-2012 (15 years)

    Generation Alpha: Born 2013-present

What you're saying doesn't line up with this at all, but maybe you have other generation dates in mind.

  • It's understandable to be confused by it, I'm not sure why it makes you angry.

Even if you're familiar with the idea that some portion of the population is hierarchy/authoritarian prone, it makes you ask why. Then the answer just takes you one step deeper - that they like to see others suffer. Why? Because it makes them feel like they have it better than someone else, and that feels good. Well why does that make them feel good? Etc.

When you drill down enough you always get to "that's just the way it is", which isn't satisfying.

  • It looks cool, but I can't even sign up for it (infinite spinning loading icon). I did a search and it's been a problem for more than a year at this point, yikes.
