  • Rotterdam has these too!

  • Brother you have not been to the Scandic then in Finland. That hotel breakfast is soo frigging good. Its my favorite hotel chain in Scandinavia.

  • Bro is this USA stuff? I stayed in many, many hotels in Europe and Latin America and the absolute worst I had were pieces of toast with butter, cheese, coffee, orange juice, tea, and fruits. And that was a shady backwater hotel.

  • Goshdarnit, and I was really enjoying perplexity and its relatively low hallucinations and good sourcing of information.

  • That's right, the sensation is very different. I hate it. I'm already prone to sweating, and now I go through 3 shirts a day just sitting at my desk ml.

  • The Netherlands gets some warm days too, it'll be 33°C today and 34°C tomorrow.

  • Yup, there seems to be misinformation there. Even perplexity gets it wrong, but does say there's some inconsistency between websites.

  • Logging in on the high school computers there was a way through some folder tree into the wallpapers of all the teacher accounts. Boy did we have fun with that, they never found out who did it though

  • Exactly, I only see benefits to doing this. And even if I then get chosen for the random check (the system chooses), I get to turn a wheel with prizes in the form of free products. I can choose a prize based on the category the wheel lands on. So sometimes I go home with an extra bar of chocolate or some fruit.

So getting chosen for the random check is no longer a hassle, its actually nice!

  • Most stores in my city (in The Netherlands) just have a little terminal you can carry around the store with you. I scan my items with the terminal, it shows me the total price, discounts, points acquired (if I scan my customer card) and then i have the terminal scan the QR code on the self checkout and I just pay. Everything is already in my bag and they rarely check. It's great!

  • Then you havent visited many, its incredibly common in all parts of the world

  • I installed MX on an old Acer tablet/laptop Hybrid. It's one of the few that would run due to its 32bit bootloader but 64bit system. It works fine, but I wasn't blown away either.

  • I don't get it

  • Fucking love Denmark too

  • Don't get the started on the mental gymnastics of those Americans. They bitch and whine about how people don't treat them the same as the locals, even though after 5 years they speak know only the absolute basics of the local language.

I don't know how they justify it, but they seem to think being American puts them above other cultures by default.

  • That's right, it can even be interesting to make comparisons and hear people's viewpoints. Unfortunately it was very often from an attitude of not knowing why we wouldn't do it like the USA does it, cuz that works so well. Those conversations get tiring after a while.

  • Your security, is the connection to the outside world safe?
