  • Is that a parody site? It can't be real, can it?

  • I need it for general commuting - on the train, walking, and also biking. I just mentioned the bike because of the need for clothing space. In Spring, it might be +5 in the morning (need something on my arms and legs) and +25 in the afternoon (shorts and short sleeves baby!).

  • The USA isn't the world. We'll all survive after you're gone.

  • Fuck 'em all.

  • In addition to the advice here already (some of which I agree with, some not), here are two other ideas:

    1. Ask yourself WHY you're keeping it? Does the explanation hold water?
    2. Work through one area at a time, and do multiple cycles. It's easier to work on a single room or area at a time, and if you can purge a modest amount easily, then you can work through the whole house like this. Then you go back for a second pass and will probably have a more critical eye for getting rid of stuff - another 15% goes from each room in turn.
  • The story here isn't that he's refusing the raise, it's that he made a statement to the press about it.

  • Just did a quick look in Alberta, Canada. Best price I could find was $26.99/15, or $1.80/can. That converts to €1.11 per can.

Cans are 355ml though, instead of the German 330ml.

EDIT Cans in the US are probably 355ml as well. If they were scaled down to 330ml, the price would be...

    €0.75. Same as Germany.

  • Well now I'm curious. I'm 57 and the youngest of three, and I remember it from my youth.

  • This is SO FUCKING STUPID!

For those whose work activities support it, working from home (or staff-driven hybrid) results in the same or better productivity and better mental health outcomes.

Back to the office directives are created for a number of reasons, all of them terrible.

    • Insecure managers can micromanage their staff
    • Insecure executives can survey/show off their 'empire'
    • Unhappy decision makers can keep other people from being happy

    Fuck this.

  • She's a Trump-loving fascist, and a separatist traitor.

It'sntime for the federal government to get a judge to rule on the legality of her actions.

  • The National Prayer Breakfast is a HUGE deal. Every president since Ike has attended. It is a deeply evangelical event, withh thousands of attendees. And it's appalling.

  • We used to. Kangaroo jacket (AB) and bunny hug (SK) both were fairly common in the '70s, then kangaroo jacket kind of fell by the wayside.

  • So why do Albertans call it a kangaroo jacket?

  • Oh don't get me wrong, she is MASSIVELY at fault here. She has been courting separation since she was just a shitty radio voice. In the last year she has changed the laws three times to make things easier for the separatists.

But Kenney is going to make a run for the CPC leadership when Poilievre is turfed, and he's going to lie about being a strong federalist.

I want to make sure EVERYONE knows how happy he is to burn down the country.

  • As we approach a leadership review in the federal CPC, I want to remind everyone that Smith didn't start this.

Jason Kenney was the instigator of Alberta separatism.

It was Kenney who starting using the "Sovereign Alberta" rhetoric. It was Kenney who invited separatists to the table.

Jason Kenney lit this dumpster fire, handed a can of gas to a deranged arsonist (Smith), and then severed his ties and ran.

Canadians need to remember this. Canada need to know that Kenney is willing to destroy Canada for his own gains.

  • ➕️

  • That never really caught on though.

  • I've been in IT for over 30 years and never once heard someone try to make an acronym of URL.

  • If an acronym is convenient, it will overrule an initialism.

You seem to be insisting on avoiding the acronym that is right there, and I'm not sure why.
