A lot of contracts have an exclusivity clause. So in that case they’d be vulnerable to breach of contract lawsuit.
I like the look of the stencil/shape left behind by a removed logo.
Feels rebellious.
He doesn’t post on twitter any more I think. Just his own site.
Haha the reaction guy does need a Winterfell style fur cloak around his shoulders though.
But like, of LARP quality though.
Oh wow I thought that was multiple screenshots…
I heartily endorse switching to a browser with built-in adblockers (even just specifically for viewing news websites).
Well he also has people like managers, publicists and agents who will think this way.
I’m not entirely sure it wasn’t the other way around.
He probably knew some charges were coming years ago, and started adapting his output accordingly.
Oh wow that’s a high dose I think. And short-release (if you’re taking two?).
Hopefully the headaches go away after a bit. Just make sure to drink lots of extra water.
In terms of sleep loss, some people swear by taking magnesium supplements in the evenings. The medication supposedly can cause you have a deficiency, which can affect sleep. Obviously chat to your doctor before taking supplements at the same time though. I am after all just a person on the internet.
And like I said in my previous message, a lot of the effects (and side effects) can change as your body adapts to the medication.
They can also lie about what the real reason is.
“Not a good fit” etc. generic reasons
But only after the interview! And maybe even after any probationary period if you can manage it. I’ve seen a lot of stories about prejudice and discrimination starting the moment the employee discloses their condition to their employer (e.g. immediately being put on a personal improvement plan)
HR will probably “let slip” to management about it in a small enough company.
So there’s something to be said for expecting it to come out eventually.
But it’s good to have as much time as possible to prove yourself before that happens.
Yeah it’s quite an experience. Some of the effects fade with time and others appear (positive ones).
How is it going 2 weeks later?
Some crankiness in the afternoons, very thirsty in the mornings, and on some of them waking up very early and not being able to get back to sleep.
Also I don’t get hungry any more. Just low blood sugar. So I have to be strict on meal times.
$retVal
and $item
are my personal favourite.
And decent variable names if you can, as well.
No magic numbers!
Excellent work by someone there. I love the customer service agent with the ski mask (who can barely keep a straight face) lol
Infrastructure can be a real problem in some places.
I’m currently on a mountain and since they upgraded to a hybrid satellite/cable system the speeds have skyrocketed. Laying cable/towers is just not viable, especially with dense rock peaks blocking line of sight.
Also I have coworkers in Nigeria who lose internet multiple times a day (and often don’t have the bandwidth for a video call) but most of them have bitten the bullet and paid the high up-front cost to get starlink at home. And now can do HD video calls with zero interruption (unless they have power issues, but that’s a whole other thing).
So I think there’s a lot of use-cases for sattelite, especially for people who aren’t considered worth the investment in non-sattelite infrastructure.
It’s just unfortunate that yeah, space junk is going to one day (suddenly) be a massive problem.
Edit: ah I may have replied to the wrong comment
Minimal supervision also could mean there’s no onboarding, no support and internal communication is awful.
Oh no!
I’m still on Lemmy!
