  • How did we get rid of Nazis the first time?

  • I can see why people would miss that part as I don't think it's terribly common knowledge, but the red skull is really obvious. A logo is often not a photograph of the corresponding organization's name.

  • My T-shirts all have the tag at the bottom of the left seam.

  • Coughing can't possibly be a symptom of any illness because I sometimes cough without being sick.

  • I unfortunately can't listen to it myself, so I just went off the text under it and the Expressen article about it. (I can hear, but my brain doesn't cooperate at listening.) I can't understand why they don't just transcribe the entries.

  • Reading the sources, it primarily sounds like she was embarrassed of looking like an old lady in the photo, and afraid of Nazis striking back at her and her family.

One of the sources is her husband's coworker who said, "Danuta was mentally ill, but she had a solid hatred of Nazis as a Pole. She probably got caught up in the hateful atmosphere that was whipped up against the NRP-demonstrators in Växjö."

I don't care for how that's phrased, both in that he's speculating about her and that he seems to think you need some kind of personal grudge in order to oppose fascism.

If there's a source saying she regretted the action in itself, I missed it.

e: I was mistaken about that quote. It's from the article, but it's not attributed as a direct quote from the coworker. Swedish doesn't always use quotation marks, so I read it as a direct quote mistakenly, but it lacks a dash at the start of the paragraph. Without knowing the original I can't be sure how much the author is paraphrasing or speculating.

  • I'm consistently in arguments wherein the people around me have decided that any cooperation between two or more people constitutes a government, and I don't know how to get past it.

  • The way that's angled, doesn't it just immediately fill with water the first time it rains?

Why don't they just change the tennis regulations to only use biodegradable materials?

  • Is there a reason an emailing group isn't a good solution?

  • Change only happens as a result of bitching.

  • "Well, just don't have 2FA on this important government identity then"? Is there something I don't understand?

  • Have you ever watched hentai?

  • They're only doing this because public opinion has already shifted towards acceptance of LGBT people.

  • Freddie was apparently just 14 when she started executing Nazis, so why not? Send children the message that history will celebrate them if they strike back at their abusers.

  • No, they don't. I love technology for its entertainment and educational benefits, but it's horrible that this kid is so familiar with screens that they don't understand you can't zoom a book. Screens don't allow one to feel textures, see depth, or manipulate objects in space, among other vital educational activities. Young brains need to be stimulated by real-world phenomena in order to develop properly. Our children deserve better.

  • The real benefit of fasting is feeding one's precious akkermansias. But it doesn't do any good if you then carpet bomb the poor things with sugar during your feeding window, which is possibly where a lot of folks are going wrong. Not all calories are equal because you aren't the only one eating.
