  • Lemmy.ca is a nice instance if you are looking for one that blocks those instances. The fascists were here before people from reddit started moving over, but as people started coming over that aspect started getting diluted. Now you just have to choose an instance that doesn't federate with them.

  • Suing people for not buying tesla stock and suing those who sell it.

  • They did also resign joe rogan in 2024 to give him a $250 million dollar deal. He's played a huge part in radicalizing his listeners.

  • Also donated money to trumps inauguration.

  • On the plus side civil unrest in the US requiring a stronger domestic military presence means the US may have less support to wage war on other countries. That's easier to do when the population is calmly falling in line.

  • Americans are capable of riots, but it seems to require so marination before some trigger event happens on their soil that causes emotions to suddenly spark.

  • Teslas for a long time though seemed more like a status symbol as opposed to the more affordable car it became recently, so hard to feel bad for them.

  • Those just come off as regular left to me.

When I think of radical left I think tanky types who are full on nationalists and pro authoritarian governments that suppress free think that they are indistinguishable from the far right other than just differences when it comes to stuff like government assisted programs.

  • Yeah completely omitting Slater's work lobbying on behalf of big tech like Google and Facebook to increase data mining when the whole defense hinged on that she'd be good for little tech made the medium article seem more like it was from a corporate PR stream. So intentionally deceiving playing up identity politics or not doing its due diligence what a quick wikipedia and Google search of the person Yen glazed over would reveal.

Her past is too questionable for a privacy company to endorse. But, move from Google to proton is still an improvement at the end of the day with its country of origin being its strength despite whatever the founder ceo may think.

  • America is the best example that you just can't teach some people. Doesn't matter if it is scientists and doctors doing the teaching. If anything in the eyes of idiots that makes them even less credible. Don't underestimate stupidity.

  • They should do the same for twitter and meta too.

  • He's successfully destroyed it in his country.

  • Yeah he blew his opportunity to take advantage of the other two playing the role of Ellen Pao by removing all doubt that he is the same by ramping the vocal participation and drawing increased publicity.

  • Who doesn't associate elon with donald though? They are like the more closely tied political duo in the world where every action is seen as one.

For Ellen Pao to work one of them would have had to remain relatively unknown and forgettable.

If anyone is going to benefit from the Ellen Pao it's people like peter thiel who are in the background while the loud duo is drawing all the attention and credit to themselves.

  • Yeah to not show all their hands would be a good play on their part even though the general population might be screaming for more transparency of collaboration.

  • Tom from MySpace taking the money and enjoying life away from the limelight instead of seeking more wealth and power seems more along the lines of what most people fantasize about when it comes to what they'd do if they were rich. All the other rich fucks actively go out of their way to make as many people as miserable as possible.

  • Plus side here is that people can move to another instance and start commenting right away as opposed to being shadow banned for a period in certain subs and having to build up enough karma to not automatically have every comment flagged.

People aren't stuck to the policies of instances they don't agree with whether it be reasons for bans or what instances are blocked or whitelisted.

  • Yep buying used is the route to go to not directly source a company with new revenue.

  • Every comment can be argued to be an attempt to try to convince people of a certain viewpoint.

Including this one pointing out the comment posted was a long laid out argument trying to change someone's perspective of current events. ha
