No, that was my point … Even if you don’t intend it, you’re mimicking the cynical, defeatist attitude of disinformation campaigns. My hope was to encourage a more positive interaction style.

I’m convinced it’s part of state sponsored propaganda and influence campaigns. The tactic is to always belittle any idea, frame everything as pointless, and divide opposition.
So many comments like, “if you can’t even get people to go vote, how do you think they’ll resist?”
I’m tired of it. I think the only way to combat it is to set up heavily moderated areas where cynicism is flagged and removed. But man, even that’s a slippery slope, to easy for mods to take over to enforce discussion only around what they want.
But however it’s going to be done, I want people ready to act. And stop with this cynical, defeatist BS.

Yeah, but most VIP are escorted around the standard security. For this to happen they went in looking for something.

Either you’re a bot, or you’ve been suckered in by their propaganda.
Think about it … The first step was to divide right/left. Now that the left may be able to present an opposition, the new narrative is to divide the left.
You don’t know that guy. You don’t know how he voted. Just enjoy being on the same team and focus on what you’ll do NOW to make things better

It’s trying to solve a problem created by SEO slop. “Find me the cheapest car rental”… That’s actually hard to do now bc SEO grift. Rather than building a more honest system, you get “agents” to do the searching for you

That just means you’d be taxing NZ citizens to pay the fee. Tariffs aren’t paid by the exporting country. They’re paid by the importer.

Not a hypothetical. I spend a lot of time in Asian factories as they’re bringing up more capacity to avoid Chinese tariffs. The vast majority fund their out-of-China-operations with BTC because they can move it around without interference from the Chinese government. I saw more than a few Russian groups touring these new factories.

These morons would take us back to living in caves and knocking women over the head with clubs to claim their spouse if they had their druthers.
This juvenile “might makes right” perspective is so goddam infantile it’s almost laughable, if these weren’t the idiots with the guns.

People only band together and revolt when they prioritize the interests of the group over their personal interests. It takes a lot for people to risk their lives standing up against oppression. I’m worried that Americans are too self serving to be willing to stand up. We’d need to see a groundswell of solidarity before it’d be a real risk.

The American right is acting in a way that is identical if they were fully compromised and acting as Russian agents. Promoting the dissolution of the EU only benefits Russia.

You’re being reductive. If Biden would have stepped back earlier, if Kamala wouldn’t have coddled Israel, if the dems didn’t cozy up to the Cheneys, if the party could have admitted where mistakes were made and promised to correct them, then dem voters would have felt like there’s a chance for their interests to be represented, then the election would have been a landslide.
I’m not saying America isn’t misogynistic, but the election loss isn’t solely due to that.

There is no longer any one-child policy. In 2016 it was updated to a 2 child policy. In 2021 it was expanded to 3 children.

Whoa whoa whoa… That’s starting to sound like… gasp… EMPATHY

Yep. Running the standard playbook. They wouldn’t do it, if it wasn’t so effective. Today they’d be calling the Boston Tea Party a bunch of anti-caffeine health nuts.

Think of it this way … if you sign up at a karate dojo, there are a ton of rules and norms you’ll need to follow. And those rules and norms will be very different dojo to dojo. That’s an understood expectation. It’s similar to college. The professor is empowered to dictate the structure and norms of their course.
And sure… The professor will dictate their expectations on day 1. If you don’t like the structure, you have 2 weeks to change the course with no penalty.

In this case, you can argue that “not showing up” is doing their job, since they’re protecting the voice of their constituents.
Republicans:Dems in Texas are currently 25:12 (one vacant seat), versus if they had truly fair districting, it would be 21:17.
They want to push it even more extreme. That seems unfair, and undemocratic to me.

Nah. You’re not thinking like a politician. The real answer is, “this will be a PR disaster for them. LOL this is really goin to help my fundraising”

He could have put in so many safeguards on his way out the door. Instead he chose to do nothing, except pardon his own family
If you’ve visited almost any website then Google ads are tracking you. Unless you’re a masochist running full lockout, noscript, and eliminate the use of cookies… Google is following you.
As an engineer who hated marketing, started my own business, which subsequently failed due to my lack of understanding for the importance and proper execution of the marketing mission… I now have a deep respect, and appreciation of a well-run marketing function.
