It’s not like most of the other series that get posted here, at least in terms of story. Visually stunning, unique plot, many distinctive characters with plenty of development, and most importantly, existential dread. Sometimes it’s a little hard to follow what’s going on in the action due to the peculiar style, and some may consider parts slow.
I did theory partially to avoid these problems (serious). I don’t know what rules my friends in the laser lab had. I mostly remember sending students home because of clothing faux pas, particularly open-toed shoes.
Not a comment on this chapter but the series in general: I get it goes against the gyaru aesthetic, but the lab inappropriate attire is bothersome. I don’t think it sends the wrong message since it obviously isn’t a serious manga, but it could.
I'll take this to mean both underrated (I gave it a rating decently higher than mean/median) and also ones that are not popular.
Champagne If you've ever thought of reading Bartender but want to try something shorter, this is a good introduction. The ending, while a reasonably common trope, still kind of surprised me. Kako and the False Detective Another short read that sticks the landing. I don't know much about mystery/supernatural manga, even including body horror, which this isn't, but it was enjoyable. I liked Kako's character and design, and the plot is good. Sleepy Barmaid (ongoing) One of my true favorites. MC lives to the beat of her own drum.
It tracks progress but directly links to hosts, so you can read with it too, that’s actually the main feature.
