  • Was it just EXIF information or was it something embedded in the pixels? If it's just EXIF that's something you can scrub from the file easily.

  • If you think about it a vagina is like a fucked up inverted penis, if anything I'd rather be touching a real manly penis not some weird feminine penis.

  • What did the RoR guy do?

  • Also the (quite literal) deus ex machina ending was super weird and came out of nowhere, I mean I guess some things probably went over my head as a kid when I was watching that but still it was weird.

  • It's very good but tbh if you don't like it after watching the whole first season it's probably not for you.

  • At this point the best you're gonna get from a UK political party is "maybe we could perhaps consider them human at least somewhat".

  • They actually did contribute back into the project, also even if they didn't it's still a win because proprietary software should not be used by any part of the government.

  • Also in much of Europe, at least the part where I'm from, the song hasn't lost its meaning, people do still know it's an anti-fascist song. Not everybody is uneducated about history as the yanks are (although we're getting there, the education system is going to shit)

  • Yeah tbh if you're supposedly a well off communist you should be offering right off the bat to contribute more than your roomates, even to cover for some of the poorer members depending on how "well off" we're talking about.

  • What did they say wrong exactly?

  • Yeah writing boilerplate documents/emails/code/whatever is what it's good at, not much more.

I'm a software developer by trade and in my experience those things aren't all that good at coding unless you're really really specific about what you want and it's not super complicated. I like using it for some utility scripts and some boring boilerplate stuff but beyond that it's just not all that useful.

  • AI is coming and it's going to be transformative.

Is it tho? The first few iterations of LLMs were pretty impressive and showed promise but it seems to me like progress is slowing down, also pretty much all AI companies are operating at a loss with seemingly no end in sight, these things suck up all the hardware and electricity you can get and even the best models are not even all that useful right now, they still make mistakes and can't really do anything original. The only real winner in the AI race is Nvidia lmao.

It's definitely a bubble that's gonna pop, some of it is going to survive but I don't at all expect society to fundamentally transform due to these things.

  • What was the official reason why they deleted it?

  • Trump should just ban all late night shows tbh, it's always the unfunniest shit in existence.

  • Idk I think this is reaching for it a bit. I think it's just shitty design or they just reused the same graphic as they'll use in IRL posters where it's pretty normal to have information repeat.

  • How would this even work? Are they going to post police near all local Costcos that check every customer if they're an Iranian dignitary?

  • Do we know for sure this guy was a groyper? Any evidence for any claim is tenuous at best IMO beyond that he was terminally online.

  • I'll believe it when I see it tbh, these companies are known to lie through their teeth about this shit, quantum computing is IMO a bubble not too dissimilar to the AI bubble, just maybe less money overall involved.

  • I think it's way too early to talk about any of that, a lot of the stuff quantum computing promises is still only theoretical and so far there hasn't been a single "real" quantum computer that behaves is it does in the theory.
