    Nachvollziehbare Emotion. Aber wie du richtig erkannt hast, keine Option. Wir als Gesellschaft wollen das ziemlich sicher nicht. Wenn man sich von Emotionen dieser abscheulichen Tat leiten lässt, holen wir uns noch ganz andere nicht-rechtstaatliche Dinge wie Selbstjustiz etc. ins Haus.

    Man könnte schonmal Obdachlose von der Straße holen, meiner Meinung nach, indem man bezahlbaren Wohnraum schafft. Ist natürlich nur eine Teillösung, aber eben auch eine Wichtige. Wie man nun Leuten beibringt Obdachlose nicht zu misshandeln/töten bin ich allerdings auch überfragt. Soziale Maßnahmen sind, langfristig gesehen, sicherlich immer hilfreicher, als stumpf nach Symbolmaßnahmen (wie immer höheren Strafen), zu schreien. Am Ende bringt das nämlich meistens nüscht.

Damals liegt laut Transparenzregeln für Abgeordnete die Meldeschwelle bei über 25 Prozent. Seine Beteiligung an Politas liegt bei genau 25 Prozent. Spahn bewegt sich in einer Grauzone: Formell legal, aber moralisch höchst fragwürdig. Ein wiederkehrendes Muster.

    Schon bis hierher zeigt sich: Spahn führt einen Drahtseilakt auf, während seiner ganzen Karriere. Er balanciert hart an der Grenze des Anständigen, manchmal auch der Legalität.

    Ich finde man sollte Politiker nicht daran bemessen, ob es legal ist, was sie tun, sondern ob es auch anständig ist. Dieser Mann hat sich offenbar zur Aufgabe gemacht, das (juristische) System zu dribbeln. Erschreckend, wie wenig Anstand heute noch zu zählen scheint.

    Ich jedenfalls, wünsche mir, dass er irgendwann unachtsam wird und damit richtig hart fällt. Früher oder später wird's passieren. Das möchte ich einfach glauben.

  • I simply hate being spied on. I also can't logically understand, why to pay for a product, while still losing privacy at the same time. Then I came to linux, and it does the best of both worlds: It can be used for free, while respecting privacy. I still donate to my distro though, but it doesn't force me to.

    Since I don't know about newer studies, I will correct myself to 2-5% to identify the rest.

    My 1% came from a german source (Question at the Bundestag by Die Linke-party) which could still be correct though:

    Currently, over 1 percent of the population in Germany is already registered in the DNA analysis file (DAD) of the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA). This means that, statistically speaking, most residents have a third-degree relative in the database (see: ç). In other words, if familial searching were applied to the DAD, then theoretically, via the detour of near matches, every resident could be identified via DNA analysis, provided that sampling is uniform and unbiased

    This is so f*cking scary. But it already was before with this 23andme or FamilyTreeDNA-shit.

    So, now the service runs as a daemon. Is it a problem to login via SSH and use the command nomadnet (no daemon), while the daemon-service is running? Because it seems to be working when I try it?

  • Well, DNA contains the most sensitive information an individual has. Not only relations. For now, we have limited knowledge what the DNA is able to tell us about how a person looks, what kind of diseases he/she developes, etc.. But very soon we will understand it much better and I think we'll be shocked, what's possible in the future.

    And in that moment I don't want my DNA to be out there. The possibilities of abuse are far too high in my opinion.

    But it also strongly depends on the whole procedure: -> What kind of DNA-profile will be created? STR-profile or SNP-profile? STR = Short Tandem Repeats (less privacy intrusive, less markers) SNP = Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (used for 23andme, much more intrusive, usually > 300000 markers)

    The golden-state-killer case shows: You can give your DNA and your cousin in the third degree can be identified (same grand-grand-grandfather) through SNP.

    -> Will the sample be taken at the border? If the DNA has to be done directly at the border, who tells me the saliva sample will be disposed after creating the profile? We know US intelligence agencies collect all kinds of things.

    But I need to say, I am not an expert in this field, just very cautious when it comes to genetic privacy.

    Was passiert mit den Fingerabdrücken, die aktuell noch lokal auf dem Ausweis-Chip gespeichert sind? Ist es möglich diese dann bei "berechtigtem Interesse" und "schweren Straftaten" per Bundestrojaner/Pegasus auszulesen?
