  • Huh, why are you getting downvoted? I don't see anything wrong, can't people understand that 'simple' tasks for them could be difficult for others?

  • Is parallel computing the future? >.>

  • Regarding the first point:

This does not mean that Google is making Android a closed-source platform, but rather that the open-source aspect will only be released when a new branch is released to AOSP with those changes, including when new full versions or maintenance releases are finished.

It seems like the particular news does not mean android is increasingly going closed-source, just that the dev branch will be private. Is there an evidence that they are taking components out of AOSP?

  • I don't get it, what is the distinction between the left and the right?

  • What does the meme mean? I am out of the loop.

  • As a user, I can definitely say that GrapheneOS is the single best project in the open source space. 99.99% of stuff works out-of-the-box, with de-facto feature parity. The remaining 0.01% is the one dumb investing app which I can only assume has sneaky spyware on it.

  • Tbh, AOSP is good enough of a basis. GrapheneOS thrives on it.

  • A tensor is one that transforms like a tensor 🤯

  • Wasn't it a moderate success? While I dislike (even hate) LLM in general, many people I know loved new GPT5 compared to GPT4.

  • Finally, the annoying sk battery companies could die down

  • The world revolves around the profit margin, so the current trend may even continue indefinitely.. Sad.

  • Mind 🤯 blown

..Wait, what if the Sun had a distant companion star?

  • I read about it in GrapheneOS matrix room, I do not recall the specific links but it is on the GrapheneOS roadmap IIRC.

  • Yeah, this is so sad that most phones do not follow good security practices.

  • It's great, works even better than desktop Linux tbh. I heard devs are planning GrapheneOS for desktops, which should be great and secure as well!

  • Yeah, at least do the fundamental theorem of algebra, or Stokes' theorem.

  • I never get people saying that apple is actively spying on you without giving a real evidence, when that is not where their profit lies. Honestly, it comes off as being paranoid.
