  • "Request"? Is that what they call court orders now?

  • The water fountain was ok but the fire hose is way more exciting.

  • Article doesn't say what the fuss is about, but there's enough context to make reasonable guesses. Meh.

  • This is about Morgan McSweeney, a British political figure.

  • As a result, will be able to offer drives beyond 140 TB in the 2030s.

Um thanks but tell us about 2026?

  • It's new roms for the Nokia N8 if you still have one. It's a 2010 phone so no idea if it has 5g or even 4g. Meh. I still have an N9 which is also unusable today because the 3g network here is gone.

  • I expect there's a project you can join, but otherwise just hope that the models improve over time. It sounds like the English to German one is worse than the German to English. The latter isn't great but it helps. So it's a matter of more data and more training.

  • The headline here tbh conveys no more info about the article than a bunch of random hex digits would. And "clickbait" is absolutely about the headline. It's an attempt to get people to click and resolve an unanswered question raised by the title. The article itself can't be clickbait since the person has already clicked by the time they see it.

  • It's clickbait if the post says nothing about the article's actual topic. Not good.

  • It would be nice to include a summary in the post. We're in an internet now where clicking a link has enough overhead that people want to know ahead of time whether the result will interest them.

  • Article is about Prototaxites which were giant fungus -like organisms that existed 400 million years ago.

  • TJ Organic Foursome I think it's called. A pound or so of frozen vegetables in a good mix, for $2. Corn, peas, green beans, and carrots. Steam in instant pot and add a little olive oil. Yum. You can also cook dry beans in the instant pot with very little fuss, but it takes longer.

  • Voyager is an app. Is there also a web version?

  • According to a post earlier, the most recent document dump included his login credentials letting everyone in the world log into his account. And destroy evidence ofc.

  • AI upscale? Yikes.

  • What info do you want to collect and what do you want to keep private? If it's an in-person event, how do you expect it to stay private once people show up? Why do you need sign up? What if you just announce the event and tell people to come?

Blokhin was selected for the position by Joseph Stalin in 1926 and led a company of executioners that performed and supervised numerous mass killings in the Soviet Union during Stalin's reign, mostly during the Great Purge and Eastern Front of World War II.[1] Blokhin is recorded as having executed tens of thousands of prisoners by his own hand, including his killing of about 7,000 Polish prisoners of war during the Katyn massacre in spring 1940, making him the most prolific official executioner in recorded world history.[1][2][3] Blokhin was forced into retirement in 1953 after the death of Stalin and condemned during de-Stalinization shortly before his death in 1955.
