  • you can just add more DE's after install

Isn't this advised against? I was told it was simple to do, tried it, it didn't work, then I found loads of people saying to never do it!

  • Probably not exactly what you're looking for, but Board Game Arena is pretty good for asynchronous multiplayer, though as you might be able to guess from the name it's digital versions of tabletop games rather than normal video games

  • Given how extreme a normal re-entry is in a purpose-built spacecraft I can't imagine how hardcore you'd have to be to evacuate your ship and fall back to earth in a plastic bag filled with foam

  • If you do want to use Spotify then find 5 friends who also want to and set up a family plan

  • Good luck with the game!

  • Why would you need a phone, for signing up to something like GitHub? Have you tried Codeberg?

  • There's the pixel fold?

  • As far as I know, there is no programmatic way to destroy an existing pizza. terraform destroy is implemented on the client side, by consuming the pizza.

  • Some of them still are! I played some Golf With Your Friends recently, that has the classic hot seat experience. The Jackbox games are different but also good for a party.

  • There must be a "the virgin Mr Robot hacker vs the chad Kung Fury hackerman" comparison out there somewhere

  • posted the announcement as a Google docs link in the app's discord

Eew. And not even the usual "eew, proprietary", just "eew, convoluted"!

  • Yeah this was the only option in around 2015

  • I'm being a little facetious to highlight that your "operating systems distributing Linux Kernel, therefore they are Linux distributions" comment is a bit silly.

Yes technically Android and ChromeOS are Linux, but that's not really what people mean when they say Linux. It's not the Linux kernel specifically that they want, it's usually the freedom and openness.

  • Windows contains WSL. It's distributing the Linux kernel which makes it a Linux distro, right?

  • It's the opposite for me. Using a modern browser is a real struggle, but running old games, watching DVDs and listening to MP3s? As good as ever!

  • I often wondered why they didn't do a Nintendoland-style game for the Switch once they started pitching it as a per-person device rather than a per-household device, having some games which use one Switch connected to the TV and another replicating the gamepad could have made for some cool mini-games

  • What devices are supported?

    • Steam Deck
    • Linux (check Wi-Fi hardware compatibility)
    • Nintendo Switch (requires Broadcom firmware patch or external Wi-Fi adapter)
    • Android (currently frontend only)
    • Windows (currently frontend only)
    • Raspberry Pi (requires external Wi-Fi adapter)

    Sounds like it!

  • this finding was immediately turned into a GitHub project called Vanilla Wii U, that enables a Steam Deck to be used as a gamepad, as well as any Linux – and presumably BSD – system with a compatible WiFi adapter

Look at me, I'm the gamepad now

Seriously though, this is a really cool discovery!
