  • I mean with the way how it is going I think that's the right way to go about it. I don't think any of the alternatives are possible. Like its out there, people are going to use it, its better to model your course around that. It sucks but I also don't know another option. Yes you can make it part of the academic policy and all but is that really effective? It just causes people harder to cover it up. Like instead of using one AI you'll use 3, one to research, and the others to reword your text and remove all the AI-isms that it brings. I much prefer the, you gotta disclose AI use and penalties for not disclosing it and elaborating on how it was used.

    I am honestly open to any suggestions wrt this.

  • Yeah but in what aspect is it part of the curriculum? Like the math and the engineering behind it? Yeah that would be a good thing to have. If it's just using AI, I mean the execution is what matters most. Education has always been about making money not learning, so maybe now they can focus on how to think. (Doubt it!)

  • I agree vast majority will go back to business as usual. But 3% growth is pretty substantial. It's more than the 0 if we didn't even try.

  • I feel like we fundamentally differ on one thing, that people can grow and change their opinion. I believe this is an inflection point. And you can use it to further challenge someone's ideas. You use every opportunity you get to grow your base of support.

  • Yes but there are some very simple ways to not fuck up your kids, like don't do physical abuse! Honestly they don't tell you about that simple hack to not fuck up your kids.

    Now you can run the entire thing in a docker compose (VPN - > vpn bridge -> piracy stack) this ensures that everything in the piracy stack has to go thru the vpn and nothing else, and also if the docker is up then so is the vpn all at once.

    Unfortunately as all things to do with user freedom today it's a game of whack-a-mole and there's no guarantee that you're not going to be made an example of.

    Now there are tools to make sure you're home public IP isn't getting leaked, and you can download Linux ISOs legally to test things and follow the law. As long as that's not getting leaked, you're good mostly.
