I certainly do in highways and interstates. Google tells me where the cops are, and it’s pretty good at it.

1·13 days agoI go to Aldi in the US. Meanwhile, my neighbors go a mile out of their way to shop at the most expensive grocery in the region.
That’s the whole payment, all that included. There’s no interest, no property tax, it’s a Habitat for Humanity mortgage.

31·13 days agoThe GOP dropped the “party of fiscal responsibility” over under George Bush. I haven’t heard them spout that bullshit in nearly 2 decades.
Not just hiring and training! You also have to start paying state unemployment tax on that new hire. In Florida the first $7,000 is taxed on each new employee. Then there’s loss of efficiency, and related items. On top of that, if your turnover is high, your payroll company will up your rates because they’re working harder and you’re a PITA employer. I’ve sat meetings where we decided exactly that.
And the problem lies on the idiots who think everything is dangerous. My wife is 110 pounds and goes to strangers houses to pick up FB Marketplace stuff a couple of times a week. And then you have morons calling the cops and posting on Nextdoor.com because, GASP, a stranger knocked on their door.
They can’t just kick you out if you have a lease.

So did I. And I remember having to wash the bugs off the windshield at every stop for gas. I’ve seen the ecosystem on my front porch collapse in the last 5 years. And I have the healthiest yard on the block, maybe the entire hood.
When I was a kid we’d visit my great grandparents in Speedway, IN, right down the street from the Indy 500. There were so many fireflies even us uncoordinated kids could fill a jar catching them by hand.
When your ass is truly on the line, your brain will take over quite nicely. I don’t mean mere fear or apprehension, I mean, “I will die if I don’t act as needed.” Many go their whole lives without that experience. This is not an “illness” thing.
He doesn’t think he is. He paid for it, so it’s a fair transaction.
Broke my femur and while waiting on surgery in the ER, the nurse than came on shift and checked my chart was the woman I had been partying with the night before. :)

72·2 months agoIsrael has forfeited their right to exist. Withdraw all Western aid, let the Arab nations do as they fucking please. Annihilate this hateful little nation of religious fruitcakes. I no longer care what happens to every last man, woman, child and pig.
