They were stupid for supporting trump, but in truth, many of my friends are stupid and I love them anyway (and I hope they feel the same way about me). This act of stupidity is harder to forgive, but I suppose if they've come around I can learn to accept them as allies.

I had this issue. Each refill tablet is a little different in thickness and each foaming foap dispenser has a slightly different nozzle diameter. Gotta find the magical combo that works perfectly for you. It's a little annoying but I found mine.
Fair point. I love stronger ties to them, a joint defense agreement, trade, etc. but you're right that we would always be a footnote in their considerations. Harmonizing our laws with the EU can always be done when it's favourable or reasonable for us.

Connect to protondb.com and you can filter by games with issues - the community is also great there for posting tricks to resolve those issues. I have a gargantuan library of 250 games including tons of recent big games and everything runs without any problems for me (Linux Mint). The only thing you need to worry about is the big multiplayer competitive games like fortnight or COD because they use really invasive anti-cheat systems which don't work on Linux (mostly). I'm not a fan of that type of game so for me it isn't a concern, but it might be for you. I would be extremely surprised given my experience with it if you ran into difficulties beyond that!
