  • Lemmy is a better place when you don't use ad hominem attacks.

  • Commoner here: this is accurate.

  • Soil, especially soil in urban settings, can be contaminated with heavy metals, etc.

  • I enjoyed Wreck-it Ralph. I thought they did a great job with the reveal.

  • I watch movies to escape reality.

  • That is a really interesting article. Thanks for posting.

    • Believable and consistent characters. Their actions should make sense.
    • A plot that doesn't rely on lazy tropes like characters failing to communicate. I'm looking at you, romance movies.
    • Character growth or change.
    • An interesting and internally consistent plot.

I feel like Aliens is a great example of this. The Marines grow over the course of the mission. Everyone has a sensible motivation (to them), and works towards it. The plot is simple, but there's clear risk because characters die.

  • I see. A nemesis who waits to strike from the shadowy future.

I won't stand for it! I'll stop you before you even start, Procrastinator!

  • I feel like you won the shit lottery. There are varying degrees of fucked-upedness, and it varies by region/culture/economic status, but that list seems like you've experienced a disproportionately shitty upbringing.

I'm sorry you had to go through that, and I hope you're able to surround yourself with more normal people.

  • Damnit. I always wanted a nemesis and this Lemmite just casually picks one up with a throwaway comment.

  • Lemmy has no chill.

  • That makes more sense. Thanks.

  • No downsides that I can think of. They're basically a drop in replacement for a regular saddle.

I bike in either pants or soccer shorts and briefs. The saddle is fine with those. I don't notice abnormal wear or bunching.

Years ago I used to wear cycling shorts and they seemed fine as well, but that was loooooong ago.

  • Do we have independent confirmation on those measurements?

  • I love how you're getting down votes without comments. Everything you've said is true.

  • You're getting relief from gas with it, rather than reflux or gutrot?

  • Each cup holds the bones in my butt. They can be moved in and out to find the fit, then as you're cycling, they move up and down with your leg.

I find the gap between the two avoids putting pressure on my taint, which is nice.

I tend to be relatively upright when cycling, but I've also used it in a more horizontal position. It's comfy in each.
