Tidal doesn't even have anything over Spotify.Their version of Spotify Connect barely works at the best of times, on my AV I couldn't get it to work at all.
And Qobuz... isn't even available in a bunch of countries.
For me, the only real alternative is piracy and setting up my own streaming.But I'm too lazy for that, so with Spotify at least the artists get paid something, and I can be reasonably certain that whatever I want to listen to will actually be available.
Also, Bandcamp was sold a while ago and fired half their staff, so not sure about ethics here.
There's a difference between what you're saying, and intentionally visiting threads about a thing you supposedly care so little about that you have to announce it for everyone.
You say automated updates good, mandatory updates maybe not?But there's no difference on Windows, that's the point. You, as a user, get no choice.
You will get broken updates and unwanted features whenever they decide, because it's ultimately about the same thing with both MS and Android: taking away your control of your devices.
One person's inability to use a common device is not an excuse to make it worse for everyone else.
My parents are pretty incompetent when it comes to tech, but it wasn't difficult for them to understand not to install random shit and call if in doubt.
